The News of Today is the History of Tomorrow —
Commentary by Larry Schweikart
IN POLITICAL NEWS
1) Concern has arisen about a “deepfake” election where AI and fake content influence elections.2) Rutabaga has dropped plans to keep illegal criminals in Texas after backlash from local DemoKKKrats.
-Folks won’t even go out on a limb with this. Prophecy: This will absolutely start to fracture the DemoKKKrats. Blue cities like New Kabul are already starting to crack. Now add DemoKKKrat border states of AZ, CA, and NM, then throw in TX. By November 2024, it will be a very big thing.
3) A new lawsuit alleges the CEO of Grab-Your-Booty-and-Pinch (Abercrombie and Finch) ran a sex trafficking ring wherein he lured in young men based on the promise of modeling.
4) Rutabaga’s bribery coverup expands, as FascistBI knew about everything and pleaded “insufficient resources.”
-Of course, they have enough resources to launch 10,000 investigations of President Trump.
5) The Swamp is freaking out over Speaker Johnson. Appears we have the right guy.
6) General polling says RFK, Jr. helps Trump.
7) Headline: “Two DemoKKKrats Retiring from Congress After Speaker Drama.” Real headline: “DemoKKKrats Read the Populist Writing on the Wall.”
8) Who woulda guessed? The RFK, Jr. intruder was mentioned in the Secret Service (which Rutabaga has denied RFK, Jr.) assessment.
9) As predicted here last week, a federal judge ruled that the Bruen decision by the U.S. Supreme Court meant that NY may not deny people firearm licenses over “moral character.”
10) Also, what I predicted last week, Traitor Tuppence is out of the GOP primary race. DeSantis, Scott, and Nick Knack are soon to follow.
11) And right away, the Florida Republican Assembly has called on DeSantis to end his campaign. This was expected, but is a total embarrassment.
12) What I have said for years. There is no such thing as a “centrist” DemoKKKrat. They are all radically Leninist loons.
13) The Maine mass shooter Robert Card was found dead in a box trailer at a recycling plant and ruled a suicide, despite the fact that one story referred to “two bullet wounds.”
14) Here is the report of the second wound. I’m sure that was also “self-inflicted.”
15) Meanwhile, a 1st-grade teacher, Abby Zwerner, appeared in court to fight for $40 million in damages after being shot in class by a 6-year-old.
16) Speaker Johnson said there will be a separate Israel funding bill, i.e., no tie-in to a Uke funding bill.
17) A U-Haul filled with 2,000 pounds of marijuana crashed into a Kollyfornia cop station. Guess it was high.
18) A horrible freak accident led to the death of ice hockey star Adam Johnson (29) after a skate slashed his throat.
19) Ol Serpent Head, James Carville, says top DemoKKKrats are telling him to shut up about Rutabaga’s 2024 weaknesses.
IN CULTURE NEWS
20) Christopher Rufo on why changing laws is not enough. Or, what Andrew Breitbart said.21) A great piece on America’s greatest fiction writer of the 20th century, Tom Wolfe. Yes, I mean even including Hemingway.
22) Calvary Church is suing the county for using geo-location data to enforce its stupid China Virus restrictions.
IN TRANSOID NEWS
23) A Canadian swimming competition permitted a 50-year-old man to compete against 13-year-old girls, then tried to deny it.24) Female martial arts competitors refused to participate in a tournament that allowed men to compete. The association immediately changed its rules.
IN ECONOMIC NEWS
25) Energy companies are laughing at predictions of “peak oil.”26) David Blackmon: Are EVs about to become the “Dippin’ Dots” of the auto world?
27) The costs and problems of EVs are about to become supercharged, as I have been sayin’.
28) Americans are struggling to pay their debts.
29) Yet, this writer insists that American wealth and income are up and that Americans are getting out of debt. Something is wrong here because it absolutely doesn’t feel like it—inflation is raging, gas and food prices are high, and, as he even admits, you can’t sell your house to anyone.
-We’ll see how this shakes out, but good info here. It appears to be one of those articles where all the data is “right,” yet the conclusion does not square with reality, including some of the other stories linked here.
30) Inflation in “core services,” housing, and non-housing core services rising.
31) CVS Pharmacies in Washington, D.C., have replaced stock with photographs of items as they battle out-of-control crime.
32) A railroad extension in Groomer City is costing $4 billion a mile.
-Heck, even the Robber Barons in the Gilded Age constructing the Transcontinental Railroad didn’t charge that much.
33) Personal savings as a percent of GDP is now in the red under Rutabaga as deficits soar and bitcoin likely soars.
34) Credit card delinquencies up to 1991 levels.
IN INTERNATIONAL NEWS
35) “Hamas Killed my Wokeness.” Welcome to the real world, pal.36) EV skeptic Toyota chairman says people are “finally waking up” to the reality of EVs.
37) The great historian Niall Ferguson argues that the “deranged defense of Hamas on campuses across the West is fueling a counter-revolution that could finally loosen the stranglehold of wokeism.”
-Well, it’s ONE of the many factors.
38) Ruh roh. “Climate change” in Greenland and Arctic Canada was much, much warmer in previous eras, according to this study.
39) Civil order has started to break down in Gaza as people raided UN warehouses.
IN ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
40) I missed this last week: Richard Moll, who played the big bald bailiff on “Night Court,” dead at 80.41) And Matthew Perry, the likable star of “Friends,” died at age 54 in his jacuzzi, supposedly drowned. He had been vaxxed, so always a question of whether there was a heart issue first.
42) Disney is apparently terrified that Snow Black will be such a massive flop it has a) delayed it by a year and b) dumped the Diversity Dwarfs in favor of CGI.
-Won’t help, Mouse. This is gonna crash and burn worse than the Hindenburg.
43) The Rolling Stones are now a billion-dollar band.
-Cool. Now do the Beatles, collectively and individually.
IN CHINA VIRUS NEWS
44) An Italian report shows neurological side effects are very common after the China Virus vax.45) Peter McCullough: the public voted “no confidence” in the China Virus boosters.
AND FINALLY...
46) And finally, this story allows me to tell a little fluff personal story. “Hart to Hart” actress Stefanie Powers made a rare public appearance before her 81st birthday.-In 1976, my band was working in LA. We were walking somewhere and noticed the police had the streets cleared. As we crossed the crosswalk in front of a convertible, we saw Stephanie Powers waiting to drive onto the scene. We politely did not make a scene. Suffice it to say that she looked a lot better on screen than in person. But don’t we all?
47) Oh, by the way, the new Emily Blunt/Chris Evans movie “Pain Hustlers” is thoroughly entertaining and actually thought-provoking. Recommended.
