One of the strongest earthquakes ever recorded struck off Russia’s sparsely populated Far East early Wednesday, sending tsunami waves into Japan, Hawaii, and the U.S. West Coast. Several people were injured, but none gravely, and no major damage has been reported so far. Authorities warned that the risk from the 8.8 magnitude quake could last for hours, and millions of people potentially in the path of the waves were initially told to move away from the shore or seek high ground. But the danger already appeared to be lessening, with Hawaii and parts of Japan downgrading their warnings...

Any reports otherwise are false."  On Wednesday morning, a powerful 8.8-magnitude undersea earthquake off Russia's eastern coast triggered tsunami alerts. The US Senate has voted to confirm President Donald Trump's former defence lawyer, Emil Bove, to a lifetime appointment as a judge on a federal appeals court. Democrats all opposed the move, with two Republicans joining them to vote against Bove by a vote of 50-49 on Tuesday evening. Bove is considered Trump's most contentious judicial pick to date, having defended him in three of the four criminal trials he faced after finishing his first term in office in 2020. During his confirmation hearings, Bove, 44, denied he was Trump's "henchman". He has also denied whistleblowers' claims that he had told staff to flout the law and misled senators...

#7 Autophagy Enables the Body to Naturally Clean and Repair Itself - Tracy Beanz & Michelle Edwards for The HighWire, UncoverDC, LAMBROS SAVVIDES, Metta UniⓋerse/Soul 7, KJ Garrett, and This_guhy on X
It cannot be articulated enough that the glorious human body that we are immensely blessed to inhabit is created to clean, heal, and repair itself when needed. One such incredible way is through our body’s natural process of cellular cleanup and repair, known as autophagy, which is akin to a cleaning crew inside the body’s cells. Autophagy, which means “self-eating,” enables our cells to break down and recycle their damaged or worn-out components, removing toxic buildup and preparing the stage for cellular renewal. New research indicates that while autophagy becomes increasingly consequential with age, it also slows down with age. However, there is also good news. The study found that certain practices, such as fasting and exercising, can help stimulate the natural process of autophagy even later in life as we age. Pretty incredible...

#8 The Fed Is Expected to Hold Rates Steady as Trump Pushes for a Cut - NBC News, Tracer/Kevin Anne, Crypto Chino, Mr Producer, CoinCraze Central, Old Fashioned Patriot/Lou Holtz, and Owen Gregorian on X

The Federal Reserve has so far resisted President Donald Trump's aggressive pressure campaign to throw inflation concerns out and attempt to boost the U.S. economy with lower interest rates. That's expected to continue Wednesday, as the central bank is expected to leave interest rates unchanged. If so, that’s likely to annoy Trump, who is already reshaping the global economy with his tariffs.  The Fed’s rate-setting committee began its two-day meeting Tuesday. Market projections and analysts expect it won't cut its key rate. “We expect Chair Powell to reiterate his view that the Fed can afford to remain on hold to assess the tariff impact as long as the U.S. economy and labor market remain strong,” analysts with financial group Nomura said in a note published Friday. “Data released lately have pointed to nascent signs of tariff-induced price pressures. Additionally, growth data have remained robust.”

On Tuesday’s “Alex Marlow Show,” host and Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow talked with Breitbart News economics editor John Carney about shifts in the auto market. After Marlow talked about the shift away from EVs, he stated that he believes it’s largely just for financial reasons, but still sees it as a positive, regardless of the intentions. Carney responded, “What corporations realize was that America was not the place that the left-wing activists described it [as]. We were not the country of Black Lives Matter, DEI, Green New Deal, that was a small fringe movement in America that had a moment, but is not…who we are.”
