Last year, a video of Nancy Pelosi surfaced in which she explained, “The Wrap-Up Smear.” To quote directly from the video, Pelosi says:
“You demonize, then you – We call it the “wrap up smear” – if you want to talk politics. It’s called the wrap up smear. You smear somebody with falsehoods and all the rest, and then you merchandise it. And then you write it, and they’ll say, “See, it’s reported in the press that ‘this, this, this, and this,’ so they have that validation that the press reported the smear, and then it’s called ‘the wrap up smear.” Now I’m going to merchandise the presses’ report on the smear that we made. And it’s – it’s a tactic.
At first glance, it sure looked like Nancy was describing the way Democrats smear their enemies, and those on the Right jumped on that. But Pelosi knew she was being recorded on C-SPAN, so although I personally think she’s starting to lose it mentally, I also don’t think she’s lost it so much that she would be confessing her party’s tactics to the world. As such, I believe the Democrats’ defense of that tape, which was that Pelosi was describing tactics the Republicans use.
Do Republicans conduct wrap up smears? I’m sure some deep-state establishment Republicans do. That said, I don’t believe for a moment that Democrats are innocent of this. As a certified behavioral analyst, I observed Pelosi’s body language in that video, and I believe she knows exactly how the process works because she’s done it herself. There’s so much about the way she explains the process that betrays her. Furthermore, I believe Democrats use wrap up smears as a standard operating procedure. As just one example of why I believe this, let’s look at the impeachment farce going on right now.
First, let’s review the wrap up smear tactics:
- Demonize and smear someone with falsehoods
- Merchandise it (get it out in the press so the press promotes it)
- You write it, and say, “See? It’s being reported in the press ….”
Now let’s review what the Democrats did:
- Adam Schiff reads a false transcript provided by an anonymous whistleblower about President Trump’s conversation with the President of Ukraine. Yes, he was forced to walk back his fabricated story, but Schiff knew what he was doing. He set the tone he wanted the media to use.
- Democrats then “merchandise it” by hitting the media talk shows condemning Trump’s alleged crime. The willing media challenges Republicans on their shows, misrepresenting what Trump did and said, all while accusing Trump off violating laws. Remember, the Fake News Media serves as the Public Relations department of the Democrats / Socialists / Marxists.
- Because the media has driven the narrative into the minds of the American voters, Democrats then claim the issue is now solidified and the electorate doesn’t push back. After all, it’s been in the news! So, the Democrats proceed with an impeachment inquiry.
As Pelosi would say, “We call it the wrap up smear. It’s a tactic.”
Taking back the word, “woke.”
It’s clear the Democrats are using the wrap up smear on Trump, but why? You can’t trust the Journalists in Name Only to answer that question. The Public Relations Department of the Left will tell you that it’s because the orange man is bad and he needs to be impeached to save our country.
However, those of us who are truly woke have become accustomed to certain patterns of deflection. And yes, I’m taking back the word “woke” from the “Social Justice” Marxists / Socialists who have tried to co-opt it. What are the patterns of deflection? Whenever some truth about the Deep State is about to get exposed, there always seems to be some flare up in the Middle East, or a mall shooting, or hey – even a call for impeachment.
Isn’t it the least bit curious that when the news cycle falls into a lull and Attorney General Barr’s or President Trump’s efforts to bring justice to dirty Deep State players garners attention, suddenly there’s a new crisis that shoves that news to the back burner?
Deflect. Distract. Delay. How often does this have to happen for it NOT to be a coincidence?
Sorry, Deep Staters, more and more Americans are becoming truly woke.
Immature children in trouble
Many in the new media are aware that the Trump administration is coming close to exposing Deep State players, and when that happens, their scams and sins will be front page news. They don’t want that, so they’re desperate to make any charges against them look like retaliation. In other words, they’re acting like little children who don’t want to get in trouble.
If you’ve been around children in any capacity, you know how this can work. One child does something he clearly knows is wrong, and the other child says he’s going to tell. So the first child runs to the parent ahead of the second child and either (a) makes up a lie about the second child, or (b) totally blows out of proportion something the second child did. Either action deflects and distracts from the sin of the first child. And if he’s good at it, he makes a big emotional scene about the injustice done by the second child. If he plays his cards well, the parent doesn’t believe the second child when he spills the beans on the first child.
You can wager your next paycheck that Pelosi et. al. are playing their cards this way because they know they’re about to get caught.
By the way, isn’t it interesting how Deep State players are always outing themselves? It was Barack Obama who said, “The only people who don’t want to disclose the truth are people with something to hide.” This coming from the guy who had almost everything about his past sealed up, and then paid lawyers millions to keep it that way. And then Nancy Pelosi got up on C-SPAN to describe the wrap up smear, something she appears to be well-versed in.
Bottom line, Obama, Pelosi and their deep state friends have a lot to hide, and they’re trying to wrap it up and hide it in a smear.
