Donald J. Trump was **the** most thoroughly vetted Presidential candidate in U.S. History. And yet this past weekend I've watched yet another Fusion-GPS-launched fake news narrative instantly seize the imagination of the mainstream media and the Progressive base that still doggedly follows it for their news.
It's been widely known for more than a year at this point that the Department of Justice was reexamining the case of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, especially since THIS story was published in the Miami Herald. On Saturday, July 6, Epstein was suddenly arrested by the FBI, and on Monday a two count indictment was unsealed charging him with conspiracy to engage in human trafficking and human trafficking.
Epstein's case stank of corruption from the very start. After the evidence gathered against him back in 2007 showed he engaged in sex trafficking of over a dozen minors, Epstein was granted a sweetheart deal by the top US Attorneys in Florida that allowed him to plead guilty to a single state level charge of soliciting prostitution from underage minors and get off with a light sentence of only eighteen months.
Here's how Epstein spent the 13 months he actually served, from WikiPedia, which includes links to the sources for this information:
"In June 2008, after Epstein pleaded guilty to a single state charge of soliciting prostitution from girls as young as 14,[21] he was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Instead of being sent to state prison like the majority of sex offenders convicted in Florida, Epstein was housed in a private wing of the Palm Beach County stockade. He was able to hire his own security detail and was allowed "work release" to his downtown office for up to 12 hours a day six days a week.[22] He served 13 months before being released for a year of probation. While on probation he was allowed numerous trips on his corporate jet to his homes in Manhattan and the U.S. Virgin Islands.[23]"
Now it's come out that the same reporters who spent more than two years spreading fake news about how former Trump people like General Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort & Michael Cohen had been 'flipped' by Mueller & were helping the Special Counsel fake a collusion/obstruction case against President Trump have now been tasked with Fusion GPS with trying to resurrect a fake narrative: That Epstein and Trump are close associates.
This narrative that Trump & Epstein are BFF's or something was first launched back in 2017. Here's Rowan Scarborough's story at the Washington Times about it:
"Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm whose Democrat-financed Russia dossier fueled an FBI investigation into Donald Trump, pitched other stories about the Republican presidential candidate to Washington reporters, including an attempt to tie him to a convicted pedophile who was once buddies with former President Bill Clinton.
Journalist sources told The Washington Times that Fusion founder Glenn Simpson pushed the idea of a close relationship between Mr. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, who pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting sex from an underage girl.
The Trump-Epstein link appears purely social, far short of Mr. Clinton’s 20-plus plane rides on Epstein’s “Lolita Express” private jet around the globe in the early 2000s."
This tells me that Democratic political operatives expected this Epstein case to go 'live' back in 2017, and they were preparing active countermeasures at the time to blunt any reopening of the case or any DOJ examination of exactly how Epstein got that sweetheart deal from Alexander Acosta and others.
Not surprisingly, Epoch Times reporter Jeff Carlson [@themarketswork] is already all over this re-launching of the Fusion-GPS narrative that Epstein & Trump are good buddies.
Any attempt to pretend that Trump & Epstein were close associates will immediately run straight into some impressive roadbloacks of evidence. Such as:
Guess who banned Epstein from Mar-A-Lago for assaulting an underage girl? And this was reported in the Washington Post....
"Lawyers involved with the various Epstein cases said there is virtually no chance that the president will be required to testify in a matter in which both sides agree his involvement was tangential."
The available evidence from records and court depositions shows that Trump took ONE RIDE on an Epstein plane that **wasn't** the infamous "Lolita Express" when he caught a ride from FL to NYC. He never went to "Lolita Island".
Meanwhile.... It was reported at the time this news broke in 2016 that former President Bill Clinton declined to have his Secret Service detail accompany him on at least 5 of these flights he took with Epstein. While it was initially reported that Clinton only took 11 flights on the now infamous “Lolita Express”, an investigation into the plane's flight logs revealed that Clinton actually took 26 trips, more than double the previously claimed number of flights.
It is a matter of public record that the ONLY rich & famous celebrity who helped the lawyers for Epstein's many victims is....Donald Trump, as Robby Starbuck related on his Twitter:
"A lawyer for one of Epstein’s victims says the only high powered person who helped them in 2009 as they began their pursuit for justice was President Donald Trump. He talks about it at the 5:30 mark in this video."
The uninformed are being led to believe somehow it's been a HUGE OPEN SECRET among the elite for years that Donald Trump is a kiddie diddling perv, and it's only coming out now after the MSM used scorched earth tactics trying to destroy him in 2016 & after he's been President 2/12 years.
This is beyond absurd.
People clinging desperately to the hope that now....ONLY NOW...will it be shown that Donald J. Trump is some kinda secret KIDDIE DIDDLER are about to suffer massive disappointment. This prosecution is being run out of the SDNY Public Corruption Unit [PCU] for a reason. The others who are going to swept up in this are not Trump. It's the corrupt government officials who facilitated Epstein's sweetheart deal to protect the powerful celebrities and politicians associated with him.
