“The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.” - Winston Churchill
It can be said that the media is one of the most powerful institutions in the world, and certainly in America. They have the power to shape any narrative, to sway any mind, to advance any ideal, and to affect the outcome of any election. The media, and the journalists that comprise it, are the arbiters of truth, of impartiality, of information for the people. Without truthful, verified information, Americans are ill equipped to make many decisions about what is important to them. We are unable to shape the world around us or to correct wrongs. We are unable to hold our elected representatives accountable. The media is a vital and crucial cornerstone of our Republic.
Unfortunately, starting decades ago, the media began its spiral into corruption. They were overtaken by nefarious agendas, greed, politics. They were weaponized as a propaganda arm of a radical government gone rogue. And year after year, it has only gotten worse.
We, the people, are wise to this. Social media has provided a window inside the seedy underbelly of what was once a great and honorable profession. We have seen the private emails of operatives masquerading as journalists, attempting to shape perspective to assist a political candidate or party. We have watched in horror as teenagers have been framed for thought crimes that didn’t exist, their lives destroyed on national television. And all of this as violent perpetrators attacking innocents have been held up on a pedestal; glorified in the eyes of a few, reviled in the hearts of the many.
This beautiful mask being torn off the face of the once acclaimed media, only to reveal the ugly picture underneath, is the best thing that could have ever happened to this country. The American people aren’t stupid. The American people are brilliant. As the legacy media lay dying on the vine, we have turned to one another to demand something with value, something with integrity, to replace it. Something new. Something we can count on. Somewhere we can read and learn and know we are getting the raw, unvarnished, sometimes even painful truth.
Over the past several years, I have been working very hard to create a new media built on values. I have built a presence that people can trust and rely on, because we all deserve to have a place where we can go and relax, knowing that the information we are consuming is the cold hard truth. We may not always be comfortable reading it, but we know that whatever we are reading are the facts.
A truly free press is one of the most IMPORTANT mechanisms we have to hold our government accountable. It is one of the only ways we can bring a bright shining light to the darkness in the underbelly of our institutions. It is one of the only ways we can ensure that we are electing the right people to represent us, at the right times, and with the right intentions. It is one of the only ways that we, as a people, can ensure a future for our children that represents the values we hold dear; life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
This country is as important to me as it is to all of you. And with your help, I have been able to dedicate every waking hour, and every single breath to the work that we all have been doing together to replace the corrupt “mainstream” media, and in turn, save the Republic.
It is with great honor, excitement, and responsibility to the people, that I can announce we are one step closer. Welcome to the new media, the real media. Welcome to UncoverDC.
There is a gaping dark hole where truth and honor in journalism once stood. UncoverDC will become the sunlight which fills that hole, one of the beacons that lights the darkness and contributes to bringing respect back to the profession. UncoverDC is built on three core values; Truth. Integrity. Accountability. This is the bedrock that will flow through each article written, through each video produced, and through each interview given as we uncover the facts that the American people deserve. We at UncoverDC pledge to always remain true to these values.
I am humbled I am able to do this, and I could never have done it without your help. In the coming days and weeks, I will be releasing more information, and will be asking for your continued support in sharing UncoverDC with the masses. You’ve helped build the new media – the REAL media. It’s time to take it up a notch.
Welcome to actual journalism. Welcome to UncoverDC.
