#10 DOJ Targets Adderall Healthcare Scheme. Is Fentanyl Next? - Tracy Beanz and Michelle Edwards for The HighWire
The pandemic had a consequential impact on the mental health market. Not only did it drive society into various states of anxiety, fear, and depression, locked in their homes in need of access to mental health, but it also enabled the loosening of critical regulations around telehealth prescribing of controlled substances as well as provider state licensure requirements. Needless to say, many quickly noticed the tremendous business opportunities available in prescribing drugs in a virtual setting. One such person was Ruthia He, the Founder/CEO and Clinical President of the digital health company Done—a pill-pushing racket to distribute Adderall over the internet that enabled her to pocket millions. Arrested on June 13, 2024, by the U.S. Department of Justice, He and David Brody, Clinical President of Done, are charged with operating a $100 million Adderall distribution and healthcare fraud scheme...
#9 New York Times Deploying 29 Fact-Checkers For Trump-Biden Debate - Robert McGreevy for The Daily Caller, and SassyPaws on X
The New York Times will be deploying 29 fact-checkers to CNN’s debate between President Biden and former President Trump on Thursday. You read that correctly. 29. The fact-checkers will join an additional 31 reporters and editorial staff the Times will be using to cover the landmark debate, the paper revealed Monday. The editorial resources they’ll be dedicating to keep the candidates honest is larger than an entire Major League Baseball roster. Given that outsized number, one might assume it would be wise to split them up evenly: 15 for Trump and 14 for Biden, right?
#8 White House Denies Involvement in Julian Assange Deal - Cortney Weil for The Blaze, and NTD News, and NumberOnePal on X
Julian Assange, 52, will likely soon return to his native Australia as a free man, but not because of President Joe Biden, a White House spokesperson said. Court papers released Monday night revealed that Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who has spent more than a decade either holed up at an embassy or locked away in prison, had finally reached a plea deal with U.S. officials. In 2010, Assange had coordinated with Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to release information about U.S. military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan...

The House Judiciary Committee is planning to decide later this week whether to hold Mark Zwonitzer, President Joe Biden’s ghostwriter, in contempt of Congress over his refusal to comply with a Congressional subpoena. Zwonitzer was subpoenaed by the committee in March, which sought audio recordings and transcripts of conversation that he had with Biden. Biden reportedly illegally shared classified information with Zwonitzer after he left office as vice president, according to Townhall...
#6 Inside the Million-Dollar Campaign to Smear the Supreme Court Ahead of 2024 Election - Kaelan Deese for The Gazette and Washington Examiner on X
A left-leaning group announced this week the start of a million-dollar campaign to attack the legitimacy of the Supreme Court as the 2024 presidential race between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump heats up. Stand Up America, a group funded primarily by Democratic political action committees, began its campaign on June 24, the same day of the two-year anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and give states broad authority to set gestational limits on abortion procedures. The campaign also comes just days before the first presidential debate of the 2024 cycle, which is sandwiched between the three remaining days where the high court is poised to release its most consequential opinions of the 2023-24 term...

Feds probing Eric Adams and a key aide whose home they have raided are looking for private emails and records of trips they made to China, The Post has learned. Both the FBI and federal prosecutors have flagged at least one trip taken by Adams which was partly funded by the Chinese Communist Party. Adams made seven trips to China between 2014 and 2021 when he was Brooklyn Borough President, organized by key adviser Winnie Greco who ran the non-profit Sino-America New York Brooklyn Archway Association Corp. and was then a volunteer at Adam’s office. The discoveries were made as part of a widening investigation into alleged public corruption involving Greco and the New York City mayor, a source close to the probe told The Post...

Details have emerged about two individuals at the heart of an FBI political corruption investigation in Oakland, California, which saw the raid of Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao’s home last week. The Gateway Pundit previously reported that FBI agents raided a home owned by Democrat Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao. An FBI spokesperson told the press that agents were conducting “court-authorized law enforcement” at Thao’s property. The focus of the investigation is on David Duong, CEO of California Waste Solutions, and his son, Andy Duong. Both have deep-seated ties to Democratic politicians and businesses, NBC Bay Area reported. Their business dealings and political connections are under intense scrutiny following evidence that suggests they orchestrated a complex scheme to circumvent campaign finance laws and funnel illegal donations to various Democratic candidates...
#3 Conservative Firebrand Wins House Primary After Switching Districts After Narrow 2022 Win - Andrew Mark Miller for Fox News and John Solomon, and Ian Miles Cheong on X
Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., emerged victorious in her congressional re-election primary campaign Tuesday night, following her switching districts to a more Republican-heavy area after narrowly winning in 2022. Boebert advanced past a six-way Republican primary in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District in a race to replace outgoing Republican Rep. Ken Buck. The Colorado Republican said she made the switch to CO-04 to ensure another Republican could win her old district, which she nearly lost in 2022, and had blamed outside groups for targeting her. But Boebert left the district having already become a fundraising magnet for the likely Democrat candidate, who has pulled in millions that may help him flip a district that has leaned Republican in recent years...
#2 George Latimer Defeats House ‘Squad’ Member Jamaal Bowman in Historic New York Democratic Primary - Gregory Krieg for CNN, and Rep Thomas Massie, and Ian Miles Cheong on X
New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman lost his Democratic primary to Westchester County Executive George Latimer, marking the first defeat for a member of the House “Squad” of progressive lawmakers. The result in New York’s 16th Congressional District is also a victory for pro-Israel groups, which backed Latimer with historic levels of spending during the campaign. According to ad-tracking firm AdImpact, the race was the most expensive House primary on record. Bowman, 48, a former middle school principal in the Bronx, was first elected in 2020 after unseating longtime Democratic Rep. Eliot Engel, a pro-Israel hawk, in the primary. That race, much like this one, centered on accusations that the incumbent had lost touch with the diverse but heavily segregated district, which spans parts of Bronx and Westchester counties...
