An armed man drove into the secure perimeter of Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump’s resort in Palm Beach, Florida, before being shot and killed early Sunday morning, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Secret Service. Although Trump often spends weekends at his resort, he was at the White House when the breach occurred around 1:30 a.m.  The man had a gas can and a shotgun, authorities said. Investigators identified him as 21-year-old Austin Tucker Martin of North Carolina, according to the FBI, and authorities said his family had recently reported him missing. He’s believed to have purchased his shotgun while driving south, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said, and a box for the weapon was later discovered in the man’s vehicle...

Mexico’s most-wanted cartel boss and head of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes, was killed in a Mexican military operation. The killing sparked widespread unrest, with suspected gang members torching buses and businesses while clashing with security forces. More than 250 blockades were reported across 20 Mexican states, Mexico’s Security Cabinet said, with most roadblocks now cleared. The US State Department urged American nationals in parts of Mexico to “seek shelter and remain in residences or hotels.” Other tourists were stranded after several US carriers suspended flights to Puerto Vallarta. Here’s what to do if you’re stranded...

Mohamed Al Basir, GA Surety Bond, Economic Times, and Mr Pool 2.0 on X

Lawyers for imprisoned British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell are fighting the requested release of 90,000 pages related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and Maxwell, saying a law used to force the public release of millions of documents is unconstitutional. The lawyers filed papers late Friday in Manhattan federal court to try to block the release of documents from a since-settled civil defamation lawsuit brought a decade ago by the late Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre against Maxwell. The Justice Department recently asked a judge to lift secrecy requirements on the files. Maxwell’s attorneys said the Justice Department obtained the documents — otherwise subject to secrecy orders — improperly during its criminal probe of Maxwell. They said the documents include transcripts of over 30 depositions and private information regarding financial and sexual matters related to Maxwell and others...

#5 Live Updates: Monster Blizzard ‘Bomb’ Paralyzes Northeast in Extreme Snow, Soaring Power Outages - Fox Weather, #TuckFrump, @The821_821, Kate Hannon,
Kinetic News Feed, and WXII 12 News on X
With Blizzard Warnings covering over 40 million people, major hubs like New York City, Boston, and Philadelphia have shut down as up to two feet of snow buries the I-95 corridor in Blizzard '26. Stay tuned for updates on power outages, mandatory travel bans, flight cancellations, and emergency declarations. The historic blizzard battering the Northeast has officially pushed power outages past the half-million mark.

Data from PowerOutage.com indicates that over 500,000 customers are now without electricity as hurricane-force wind gusts and heavy, wet snow continue to dismantle the regional power grid. One customer represents a single address, so the number of Americans without power could be well over 1,000,000 at this time....

#6 The World’s Most Dangerous Guessing Game - Tracy Beanz and Michelle Edwards for The HighWire, Fresno Bee, Trent Page, Major Anthony Jones, roger foley, and

Three thousand, six hundred, twenty-five. That is not a case count. That figure represents the number of high-containment Biosafety Level-3 and Level-4 laboratories now identified worldwide. More specifically, there are 3,515 BSL-3 labs and 110 BSL-4 labs that handle pathogens capable of flattening cities and rewriting history. Yet, and this should concern everyone, detailed public information on pathogen and location work is only available for 955 of the BSL-3 labs. That is the polite way of saying what Nicolas Hulscher stated bluntly on LinkedIn: that most of these facilities don’t want anyone to know where they are or what they are doing. And the real kicker? Let’s talk about the United States, because America isn’t just on the list—we practically are the list. A recent mapping study reports that the U.S. accounts for 47.1 percent of the world’s BSL-3 laboratories. Nearly half. In one country...

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently defended a move by President Donald Trump to protect and boost the production of a precursor chemical for pesticides, which just two years ago, RFK Jr. said was a major contributor to "America's chronic disease epidemic," and if elected, he would "ban" it.  Citing national defense imperatives, Trump passed an executive order earlier this week to protect a precursor element used in the production of an herbicide known as glyphosate. Trump's executive order described glyphosate-based herbicides as "a cornerstone" of the United States' agricultural productivity...

President Trump appeared to wade anew into the bidding war for Warner Bros. Discovery, calling on Netflix, one of the suitors, to fire a member of its board, Susan Rice. “She’s got no talent or skills — Purely a political hack!,” Mr. Trump wrote on social media Saturday evening, sharing an X post by the right-wing agitator Laura Loomer. Ms. Loomer’s post quoted Ms. Rice as saying that companies that took “a knee to Trump” would face accountability from Democrats if that party wins a majority in Congress in the midterm elections in November...

The U.S. is in position for a "highly kinetic" campaign against Iran after launching one of its largest recent military buildups in the Middle East, a former senior Pentagon official has claimed. Dana Stroul, now research director at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, made the assessment Sunday as Washington and Tehran prepare for a second round of indirect nuclear talks in Oman. "The U.S. military is ready for a sustained, highly kinetic campaign should President Trump order it, and also prepared to defend allies and partners in the Middle East from Iran's missiles," Stroul told Fox News Digital...

An uproar continued Sunday after the U.S. ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, said Israel has a right to much of the Middle East, as more Arab and Muslim countries objected, and the U.S. said his comments were taken out of context. Huckabee spoke in an interview with conservative commentator Tucker Carlson that aired Friday. Carlson said that according to the Bible, the descendants of Abraham would receive land that today would include essentially the entire Middle East, including parts of modern-day Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. He quoted from Genesis Chapter 15 and asked Huckabee if Israel had a right to that land. Huckabee responded: "It would be fine if they took it all."
