The full statement says that the NEA will celebrate International Holocaust Remembrance Day by: Recognizing more than 12 million victims of the Holocaust from different faiths, ethnicities, races, political beliefs, genders, and gender identification, abilities/disabilities, and other targeted characteristics....

#5 Trump to Visit Federal Reserve, Ramping up Pressure on Powell - Anders Hagstrom for FOXBusiness, Eric Daugherty, Nick Sortor, The White House, JP,  and Bob Murdock on X

President Donald Trump will visit the Federal Reserve headquarters in Washington, D.C., on Thursday amid his ongoing feud with Fed chair Jerome Powell.  Trump is joining a group of administration officials touring the headquarters after it underwent $2.5 billion in renovations. For weeks, the president has called on Powell to lower interest rates, but the official has not budged. Some administration officials have argued that the massive renovations were a waste of taxpayer dollars and could even amount to a fireable offense for Powell. Meanwhile, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has noted that Powell's term will end in May 2026, downplaying the need to fire him outright...

#6 How Gabbard’s Revelations Complete the Case Against Comey and Brennan -  John D. O'Connor for American Greatness, StormShelterCOS, @googeliart.bsky.social, Dinesh D'Souza, MountainMan280, and WashingtonAmerica.Net on X

ntil recently, it seemed clear that former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan had engaged in a sickening conspiracy, first to create a false “Russian collusion” narrative in order to spy on candidate Donald Trump and, after his election, to continue the canard to destabilize the incoming Trump Administration, perhaps resulting in impeachment. But, also, until recently, both partisan actors could rely on the reputedly professional Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) of December 2016, which concluded that, yes, Russia interfered in the 2016 elections so massively, in favor of Trump, that the result may have been affected. As a demonstration of the gravity of this harm, President Obama ordered thirty-five Russian diplomats expelled, a major insult to our adversary by our Nobel Peace Prize winner, perhaps inviting retaliation and crisis...

#7 Powered by Electricity, Boston Metal’s “Green” Steel Remains Dependent on Fossil Fuels - Tracy Beanz and Michelle Edwards for The HighWire, UncoverDC, DOGEai, Will Alverson, and Etinosa Noma-Osaghae on X
Steel production is undergoing a rebellious transformation. Boston Metal, a company based in Massachusetts, has developed a process that it claims is so clean that its emissions could be safely vented near a daycare. Eliminating the need for coal or natural gas in iron refining, the new product produces only oxygen as a byproduct through molten oxide electrolysis. Their method, developed at MIT and now being prepared for wider use, uses electricity instead of coal or gas, creating only oxygen as a byproduct and no carbon dioxide. This switch represents a significant development for those seeking to reduce the use of fossil fuels in steel production, which typically accounts for 7-9 percent of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions.

The Federal Communications Commission cleared the way Thursday for an $8 billion merger between Paramount and Skydance Media. The deal, which was announced more than a year ago, includes the CBS broadcast television network, Paramount Pictures, and the Nickelodeon channel. “Americans no longer trust the legacy national news media to report fully, accurately, and fairly,” Brendan Carr, chairman of the FCC, wrote in a statement Thursday. “It is time for a change. That is why I welcome Skydance’s commitment to make significant changes at the once-storied CBS broadcast network.” Carr said Skydance had made written commitments to ensure the new company’s programming would have a diversity of viewpoints across the political and ideological spectrum. Skydance also said it would hire a third-party impartial outsider to report to the president of the new company to evaluate complaints of bias...

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said he met with Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell on Thursday. The big picture: The Trump administration has been facing mounting pressure over its handling of the case as well as bipartisan calls to release all its documents on Epstein. A House Oversight Committee this week subpoenaed Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence in Florida for sex trafficking, to testify at a deposition. Driving the news: "Today, I met with Ghislaine Maxwell, and I will continue my interview with her tomorrow," Blanche said in a post on X...
