#10 Treasury Department Set to Phase Out the Penny - Aimee Picchi for CBS News, Dexerto, Philip Lewis, CNN Breaking News, and Joni Ernst/The Wall Street Journal on X

The Treasury Department said it plans to stop manufacturing the penny, calling time on one of the first coins minted by the U.S. government.  The federal agency placed its final order for penny blanks this month, with the United States Mint slated to end manufacturing of the penny when that runs out, a Treasury official told CBS MoneyWatch. The blanks — flat, metal discs that the Mint turns into coins — will run out in early 2026, according to the Wall Street Journal, which first reported the news. The penny, which dates from the early days of the U.S. Mint after its establishment in 1792, now costs more to manufacture than the coin is worth. The 1-cent coin cost about 3.7 cents to manufacture and distribute in 2024, according to the U.S. Mint's 2024 annual report...

#9 UK Restaurant Staffed Entirely by a Team of Homeless People - Tracy Beanz and Michelle Edwards for The HighWire, UncoverDC, Big Issue, 1440 Matthew, and Benjamin Butterworth on X

It often feels like the world is falling apart right before our eyes. Daily, the Big Pharma-funded mainstream news seeks to dismantle and destroy any and all efforts tirelessly being made to right our sinking ship. And, like clockwork, the predictable deep state-affiliated leaders eagerly conspire to deliberately sink our nation further. But, despite their relentless and exhaustive efforts, goodness prevails and is literally everywhere. You simply have to look. One such example is a restaurant in the United Kingdom called Home Kitchen, which, thanks to the vision of two-starred Michelin chef Adam Simmonds and Soup Kitchen London, is staffed solely by vulnerable individuals who have experienced homelessness...

The Supreme Court on Thursday said the relationship between the president and the Federal Reserve is different from that of other independent agencies, signaling that Chair Jerome Powell is legally protected from being removed by President Donald Trump. The justices, in a ruling that blessed Trump’s decision to fire members of two independent U.S. labor boards, said they did not think the case had implications for whether the president was allowed to fire Fed board members or other officials on the central bank’s rate-setting committee...

#7 Trump Administration Ends Harvard’s Ability to Enrol International Students - Kayla Epstein for BBC News, Alex Jones, Eric Daugherty, zerohedge/Charles Ortel, and NBC News on X

The Trump administration has moved to end Harvard's ability to enrol international students, escalating a standoff with America's oldest university. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said the administration had revoked Harvard's "Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification as a result of their failure to adhere to the law." "Let this serve as a warning to all universities and academic institutions across the country," she wrote on X on Thursday. Harvard called the move "unlawful" in a statement. "We are fully committed to maintaining Harvard's ability to host our international students and scholars, who hail from more than 140 countries and enrich the University – and this nation – immeasurably," the university responded...

#6 The CIA Was Interested in Gateway, So I Did It - Tracy Beanz for UncoverDC, Ryan Bledsoe, Michael The Chairman, Tommy. T, Open Minded Approach, and Concerned Citizen/Big_Dumb_Tanker on X
I attended the Monroe Institute to participate in the Gateway Voyage program. For my entire adult life, I have been pretty obsessed with figuring "all of this" out. I have been dedicated to finding my purpose and place in the world and learning why I am here. Because I am always on an endless quest for knowledge, my spare time is spent absorbing copious amounts of information. I want to learn and read about everything—quantum mechanics, quantum physics, neuropsychology, human consciousness—all of it. This personal side quest has been an incredible journey for me—one of the most rewarding in my life. I have studied many things that most people would consider "taboo, " such as hundreds of near-death experiences, UFOs, and our connection to God, among just a few. I've studied how our thoughts impact the world around us and learned through all of this just how powerful we really are. I think I have figured out my purpose here. I've been meditating and praying in a dedicated fashion for many years...

President Donald Trump held a private event Thursday night for 220 crypto investors who had bought into his meme coin, defying bipartisan concerns from lawmakers that he was selling access to accumulate personal wealth. Crypto enthusiasts, including former NBA star Lamar Odom, attended the dinner at Trump National Golf Club in northern Virginia, just outside Washington. About 100 demonstrators lined the road to the entrance, trying to shame attendees with chants and signs such as “Trump is a traitor,” “Crypto corruption,” and “America is not for sale.” Odom, a former Los Angeles Laker, walked past the protesters carrying an umbrella, according to a post on his X account in which he promoted his own meme coin. Other people arrived in luxury SUVs with tinted windows, and many wore tuxedos for the event billed as “black-tie optional.”

The revelations about former President Joe Biden's declining health while he was in office have brought a new spotlight on what officials in his administration said at the time about the former president's health.  One of the most outspoken officials defending Biden's mental and physical stamina was White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.  She has been on record denying that the former president was experiencing cognitive decline or other health issues from as early as 2022. When then-CNN anchor Don Lemon asked Jean-Pierre if Biden would have the "stamina" necessary to complete a second term in June 2022, she appeared shocked at the question...
