President-elect Donald Trump threatened “ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East” if hostages taken by Hamas and other groups during the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on southern Israel were not released by his second inauguration on Jan. 20, 2025. The threat, made in a social media post on Monday afternoon, came hours after Israeli officials confirmed the death of Israeli American soldier Omer Neutra and said they believed his body was held by Hamas in Gaza. A New Jersey resident was escorted out of a town council meeting for waving an American flag in protest of a new rule that bans such items, including the U.S. Constitution and other "props," from the public comment portion of town meetings. Last week, the Township of Edison, New Jersey, passed an ordinance that cuts down the time residents have to address the council and forbids them from using "props" in their remarks, including American flags, during public comments, MyCentralJersey.com reported. Residents immediately pushed back against the rule, arguing during a five-hour meeting on Nov. 25 that it was in violation of their First Amendment rights and a "disgusting" attempt to silence those looking to speak up for their community...

Direct milk sellers have taken to social media to distance themselves from Arla Foods and its trial of the feed additive Bovaer on UK supplier farms after a consumer backlash to the study, including boycotts of products made by the dairy co-operative. Arla announced last week that it would test Bovaer, a feed additive which suppresses a methane-producing enzyme, on more than 30 farms. What it hadn’t reckoned with was the public reaction to this trial, amid concern about any human health implications.
