#10 Microsoft Reportedly Fires DEI Team — Becoming Latest Company to Ditch ‘Woke’ Policy - Ariel Zilber for the New York Post, and Grummz on X

Microsoft has reportedly laid off a team devoted to diversity, equity and inclusion after pouring millions of dollars into the initiative — becoming the latest major company to ditch the “woke” policy. The Big Tech giant disbanded the DEI team at the beginning of the month due to “changing business needs,” according to a July 1 email obtained by Business Insider. It is unclear how many employees were affected. The decision was a further sign that companies are pulling back on diversity-based initiatives that were put in place following the 2020 death of George Floyd and the subsequent Black Lives Matter protest campaigns...

#8 Inmates Running the Asylum: MSNBC Reportedly Facing Mutiny After 'Morning Joe' Debacle - Bryan Chai for The Western Journal, and Steve Krakauer and Vince Langman and Kyle on X

There’s an old adage in business that goes something like, “Anybody can manage people. The best managers know how to manage egos.” One’s mileage may vary on that sentiment, but one thing that’s apparently undeniable: The employees of left-leaning news network MSNBC are increasingly thinking that their managers are unable to manage neither people nor egos. A blistering report from The Daily Beast chronicled the aftermath of the network’s curious decision to abruptly upend its “Morning Joe” program on Monday, less than 48 hours after a failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania...

#7 Unleashing DEI: You Get What You Focus On and It Ain't Security - Wendi Strauch Mahoney for UncoverDC
In the wake of Trump's assassination attempt, many are speculating on how his Secret Service detail could have possibly allowed for the glaring security lapses that allowed a man to come within inches of killing the former president. The lapses were absurd, leading many to believe this had to be a purposeful attempt on his life. No one knows at this point. However, one of the criticisms floating around the internet was the presence of several short women in the security detail who, sorry to say, looked like a Melissa McCarthy character playing a Secret Service agent straight out of a goofy buddy cop comedy like The Heat. Except this time, it was not funny...

#6 Prosecutors Dropping Some Jan. 6 Obstruction Charges After Supreme Court Ruling - Ella Lee for The Hill, and Larry Elder, and Badlands Media on X

Federal prosecutors have moved to drop charges for some Jan. 6 rioters accused of attempting to obstruct the certification of the 2020 election results following a Supreme Court ruling narrowing how the government can use the count. Since the justices ruled 6-3 that the government overreached in its sweeping prosecution of the Capitol attack, the Justice Department has scrambled to redefine its use of the affected charge: obstruction of an official proceeding. But in some instances, dropping the charge altogether has proved more efficient, according to court filings...

#5 DNC Scraps Plans to Rush Biden Nomination, Pushes Virtual Roll Call Back - Spencer Brown for Townhall, and As4Me&MyHouse, and AllSides on X
Despite attempts by "bedwetting" Democrats to steal the 2024 primary from President Joe Biden, the Democratic National Committee announced to members of its rules committee that the party would be pressing ahead with a virtual vote to formally nominate the Biden-Harris ticket in August — hoping to get the process rolling to quell attempts apparently being coordinated by Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and others to replace the president at the top of the ticket....

President Joe Biden had a tense exchange with Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) during a wider call with Democratic lawmakers about the president’s electability over the weekend. Crow, a retired Army Ranger and Bronze Star recipient, has been a staunch supporter of the president, though he expressed his concern about Biden’s reelection campaign during the call, which occurred Saturday about an hour before the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump...

#3 Biden Seeks Supreme Court Term Limits, Medical Debt Cancellation, Rent Controls - Tyler Durden Zero Hedge, and Mike "Mish" Shedlock, and GeroDoc on X

As Republicans gather in Milwaukee, President Biden is making his own news: He is planning to throw his support behind sweeping changes to the Supreme Court, part of an effort to appeal to progressives less than four months before Election Day. The president is expected to soon call for legislation that would set term limits and impose enforceable ethics rules on Supreme Court justices, according to people who have been briefed on the discussions. He is also considering backing a constitutional amendment that would limit or overturn the sweeping immunity granted to presidents, the people said...

#2 The Crown Jewel of EV's: Lithium Battery Production Results in Massive 'Forever Chemicals' - Tracy Beanz and Michelle Edwards for The Highwire

The deep-state money-grabbers getting rich off the international climate change hoax are a deplorable gang. Not only are they colluding to inflate sales of electric vehicles, but the chemicals needed for lithium-ion batteries are adding to the toxic PFAS, or forever chemicals, contaminating the earth and all of its inhabitants, and some of the key companies responsible for developing them have been accused of misleading regulators, hiding information, and contaminating communities.
