It's going to be a busy political day in western Pennsylvania with both former President Donald Trump and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden in town this afternoon.  The former president will be campaigning in Butler County today - holding a rally at the Butler Farm Show grounds. That will be at 5 p.m. on Evans City Road in Butler.  Then, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden will be in Pittsburgh with the White House announcing on Wednesday she will speak at an Italian Sons and Daughters dinner. That will also be at 5 p.m. She's expected to arrive at Pittsburgh International Airport an hour before the event. This marks the First Lady's third visit to Pittsburgh this summer. Of course, it's a busy time for politics in the Commonwealth because, as usual, Pennsylvania is a battleground state in the upcoming presidential election...

The former president shared the “very surreal experience” that nearly ended his life during an interview aboard his private plane en route to Milwaukee for the GOP National Convention. “The doctor at the hospital said he never saw anything like this; he called it a miracle,” said Trump, who was sporting a large, loose white bandage that covered his right ear. His staff insisted that no photos be taken. “I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead,” Trump said. “I’m supposed to be dead.”

The Pennsylvania State Police today released the names of the three attendees shot during the attempted assassination of former President Trump at yesterday’s rally in Butler County. The deceased victim was identified as Corey Comperatore, 50, of Sarver, PA. The second victim has been identified as 57-year-old David Dutch of New Kensington, PA, who is currently listed in stable condition. The third victim was identified as 74-year-old James Copenhaver of Moon Township, PA. He is also listed in stable condition.  “These victims and their families are certainly in our thoughts today,” said Colonel Christopher Paris, Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner. “The Pennsylvania State Police continue to work tirelessly alongside our federal, state, and local partners as this investigation continues.”
