#10 Kemp Signs Georgia Bill to Rein In ‘Rogue’ Prosecutors Amid Fani Willis-Trump Case - Martin Walsh for Conservative Brief

Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp has signed a bill intended to control “rogue” prosecutors amid increased scrutiny over Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s prosecution of former President Donald Trump. The bill will grant the Prosecuting Attorneys Qualifications Commission, established the previous year, the authority to make rules on its own without the consent of the state Supreme Court.  Speaking to the media during the bill’s signing, Kemp mentioned the crime problem and said that the legislation was required to ensure that prosecutors were effectively prosecuting offenders. “This legislation will help us ensure rogue or incompetent prosecutors are held accountable if they refuse to uphold the law,” Kemp said. “As we know all too well, crime has been on the rise across the country, and especially prevalent in cities where prosecutors are giving criminals a free pass or failing to put them behind bars due to lack of professional conduct.”

Cashews sold by Walmart in 30 states and on their website have been recalled due to unknown milk and coconut allergens, according to a company statement posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The company John B Sanfilippo & Son Inc. issued a recall notice for Great Value Honey Roasted Cashews after a customer said they found coconut cashews in a container labeled honey cashews. An investigation found that a limited number of the honey cashew labels were applied to cans of coconut cashews, the company said in the statement. The cashews are packaged in an 8.25-ounce plastic can with a blue wrap-around label with the UPC 078742133348...

#8 Pennsylvania City Ends Cooperation With ICE — But Insists It's Not a 'Sanctuary City' - Candace Hathaway for Blaze Media

City council members in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, voted unanimously in late February to adopt a new ordinance that would effectively establish the city as a "sanctuary" for illegal migrants. WGAL reported that the Lancaster Trust Act prohibits the city from cooperating with United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in most circumstances. The measure requires Lancaster to "maintain a welcoming city rating of no less than three stars from Welcoming America," the ordinance read. Welcoming America is a nonprofit organization that helps "communities develop the roadmap they need to create welcoming policies and share new approaches to inclusion to create an environment where everyone can truly thrive."

#7 Chuck Schumer Accused of Engaging in 'Grotesque' Foreign Election Interference on Senate Floor - Allison Anton for The Western Journal

While focusing on foreign over domestic concerns has become commonplace among our Democratic lawmakers, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer may have just crossed one line too many. In a Thursday speech from the Senate floor, Schumer tried to persuade Israel to hold new elections. Why? Well, because “Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu has lost his way by allowing his political survival to take precedence over the best interests of Israel.”

#6 Nolte: To the Surprise of No One, Electric Vehicle ‘Euphoria is Dead’ - John Nolte for Breitbart
“Automakers from Ford Motor and General Motors to Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Jaguar Land Rover and Aston Martin are scaling back or delaying their electric vehicle plans,” reports CNBC.  Yeah, there’s a shock. Gee, why would people not want to purchase a super-expensive vehicle that can take more than an hour to charge — and that’s if you can find a charging station?
#5 Attorney General Ken Paxton Sues Colony Ridge for Fraudulent Practices That Enabled Major Problematic Real Estate Development to Flourish - Ken Paxton Press Release

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has sued the Colony Ridge development in Liberty County for deceptive trade practices, fraud in real estate transactions, and other violations of Texas and federal law. Colony Ridge is a sprawling real estate development northeast of Houston that has expanded quickly in recent years. In an October 2023 letter to Members of the United States Congress and fellow Texas leadership, Attorney General Paxton noted that the development’s rapid growth has presented major problems. He wrote, “The development appears to be attracting and enabling illegal alien settlement in the state of Texas and distressing neighboring cities and school districts.”

#3 Republicans Probe Podesta’s Role as Biden’s Climate Diplomat - Jennifer A. Dlouhy and Billy House for Bloomberg News and Oversight Committee on X

Congressional Republicans are intensifying their investigation into President Joe Biden’s climate diplomacy, accusing the White House of doing an end-run around a law requiring Senate confirmation of special envoys. The decision to make John Podesta the country’s chief climate diplomat even though he will remain at the White House and is taking on the duties of a special presidential envoy is a “flagrant attempt to evade” the law, House Oversight, and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer said in a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken. At issue is a one-year-old mandate for Senate confirmation of anyone serving as a special envoy or in another position performing similar functions. The requirement never applied to former Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry because he was appointed before it was enacted. Now that Podesta has taken on Kerry’s duties, Comer said, “it is unclear to what extent he will retain the same powers” and the specific details of his relationship with the State Department’s climate envoy office...

#2 Pornhub Disables Access to Site in Texas Following Texas’ New Age-Verification Law - Erin Anderson and Sydnie Henry for Texas Scorecard and AG Ken Paxton on X

Pornhub—the largest online platform for sharing sex videos—has disabled access to the site in Texas in response to the implementation of a new state law.   “We have made the difficult decision to completely disable access to our website in Texas,” reads a letter to users from the pornography giant. "Elected officials in Texas are requiring us to verify your age before allowing you access to our website. Not only does this impinge on the rights of adults to access protected speech, it fails strict scrutiny by employing the least effective and yet also most restrictive means of accomplishing Texas’s stated purpose of allegedly protecting minors."

#1 Fani Willis or Special Prosecutor Must Go for Trump GA Case to Go On, Judge Rules - NBC News and Benny Johnson on X

A Georgia judge ruled Friday that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis should not be disqualified from prosecuting the racketeering case against former President Donald Trump and several co-defendants — with one major condition. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee found the "appearance of impropriety" brought about by Willis' romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade should result in either Willis and her office leaving the case — or just Wade, whom she'd appointed to head the case.
