Michigan Democrat Haley Stevens’ shocking last-minute endorsement of Mike Rogers, a Republican Senate candidate, has sparked fierce backlash from members of her party. Stevens, who narrowly lost in the Democratic primary for Senate to Abdul El-Sayed, announced her support for Rogers after a feud with the El-Sayed campaign over an outside group’s campaign ad that blamed the high cost of living on US support for Israel. Stevens had said she would appear at a campaign event if he denounced the advertisement; El-Sayed’s campaign disinvited her. Chuck Schumer, the Senate minority leader, a Democrat from New York, described the move as “a despicable betrayal”.

US President Donald Trump continued to downplay the war on Iran, saying it shouldn’t be classified as a “war” and calling it “small potatoes”. He also said that the US may strike Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain, where nuclear material is thought to be stored, “very soon”. The US imposed further sanctions as part of its economic pressure campaign against Iran, targeting Turkiye-based Golden Global Bank and two of its subsidiaries. The Treasury Department accused them of facilitating “tens of millions of dollars’ worth of transactions” for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force...#5 Fake Alerts Warn of Nuclear Danger as Ukraine and Russia Report Emergency App Hacks - Yuliya Talmazan for NBC News, SigmaLive English, Massbear01, Breaking News, Undercode News, and Seth on X
Nuclear danger, radiation threat and street combat: Ukrainians received a wave of messages Sunday night that raised alarm with a series of grave — and baseless — warnings. Authorities said the country’s emergency alert application had been targeted in a cyberattack, and hours later Russia said its own alert system had also been hacked. The dueling accusations came just as a rare humanitarian ceasefire between the two sides ended, raising fears of intensified fighting rather than a move toward broader peace. Residents in Ukraine have become used to the unsettling alerts that buzz their phones with news of incoming Russian missiles and drones — a service millions rely on to seek shelter before the attacks hit their cities. But the warnings on Sunday night immediately stood out...

An IT incident overnight hit fridges and freezers in dozens of stores in Belgium and Luxembourg, companies said, while Swedish grocers reported similar temperature spikes, with one store blaming a cyberattack. The incidents follow an attack in France last month, in which police said hackers seized control of cooling units at hundreds of supermarkets, raising temperatures as high as 122 degrees Fahrenheit and causing fires and food losses. One retailer also reported a cybersecurity incident to Dutch police last month after it detected suspicious activity in its infrastructure. On Monday, the Ahold Delhaize supermarket chain realized there were temperature increases in the cooling systems, spokesperson Sarah De Meester said. The company is investigating the incident...
#8 Israeli Officials Say Elections Will Stand After Netanyahu Claimed Arabs Stole Vote - Elanie Lidman for AP, ABS-CBN News, Grok SI News, Ash, Nino Brodin, Frank Beaver/Israel Army, and Breaking News on X
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s efforts to question last week’s elections weakened Sunday as officials said the vote would not be undermined by the allegations and a court ordered suspects in one case released. In an image that indicated officials were on the same page, the head of Israel’s elections committee was shown sitting between Israel’s attorney general and the head of the Shin Bet intelligence service for a statement making clear that even if claims of foreign interference raised last week are substantiated, the vote would stand. Netanyahu’s Likud party has said, without giving evidence, that Arab-led parties “stole” the elections in which Netanyahu’s bloc lost its majority of seats in parliament. By casting doubt on the vote, Netanyahu appears to be trying to block any potential alliance in the opposition with the Arab parties that could force him from office...

The White House has spent several months preparing for a potential Democratic takeover of Congress, formulating plans to advance core elements of President Donald Trump's agenda through executive action while bracing for congressional investigations, according to an administration official and two individuals familiar with the strategy. Senior aides, including deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller and budget director Russell Vought, have been working alongside the White House Counsel's Office since April. Their objective has been to identify executive measures on immigration, tariffs, housing costs, and federal spending that Trump can pursue without legislative approval, three sources told Reuters...
