#1 TR*Nsgender Antifa Extremist Charged With Attempted Murder After Skating on Death Threat, Rep. Mace Says - Stephany Price for FOX News, Rep. Nancy Mace, The Gateway Pundit, markgerson, and Marc Mongrain on X
A violent "Antifa extremist" and "transgender" suspect who allegedly posted a graphic assassination threat against Rep. Nancy Mace is now charged with attempted murder — months after prosecutors ignored warnings that the suspect was dangerous, a failure Mace says allowed a preventable shooting to happen. Mace, a Republican from South Carolina, said the arrest of Michael Richard Fadich, who goes by the name "Rem Heathen," came months after she reported what she described as a clear death threat that prosecutors declined to pursue. In May 2025, Fadich posted a graphic on Instagram depicting a gun pointed directly at Mace’s face...
#2 Judge Blocks Trump Officials From Detaining Refugees in Minnesota - Maanvi Singh for The Guardian, dave lawrence, timethief Canadian forever, Grok, FloridaRobert, and The Standard Digital on X
A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration from detaining refugees in Minnesota, following a spate of arrests in the state. More than 100 refugees who had lawfully resettled in the state had been arrested in recent weeks, according to attorneys and advocacy groups. Some were flown to detention centers in Texas, according to attorneys representing the cases, and then were abruptly released – and left to find and pay their own way back home. On Wednesday, US district judge John R Tunheim ordered the administration to temporarily halt the arrest and detention of lawfully resettled refugees, while a lawsuit about the administration’s policy of “re-vetting” this population continued. The judge mandated the immediate release of all detained refugees in Minnesota and the release of those taken to Texas within five days...

Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar said Thursday that she will run for governor of Minnesota, after Gov. Tim Walz's surprise announcement earlier this month that he was dropping his bid for a third term. The move from Klobuchar, who is currently serving her fourth term as senator, further shakes up Democratic politics in a blue-leaning state that has emerged as the latest target of President Donald Trump's attacks and immigration crackdown. "I believe we must stand up for what's right, and fix what's wrong. That's why today I'm announcing my candidacy for governor of the state of Minnesota," Klobuchar announced in a video she posted to X."
#4 Minnesota GOP Candidate Chris Madel Ends Governor Campaign - Megan Lebowitz for NBC News, Chris Madel, No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen, Sig Yok, Jonathan Forbes, and Tamala S. Wirtz on X
Republican Chris Madel announced Monday that he was ending his run for Minnesota governor, pointing to his party's handling of immigration enforcement in his state as his rationale. "I cannot support the national Republicans' stated retribution on the citizens of our state, nor can I count myself a member of a party that would do so," Madel said in a video posted to X. In the nearly 11-minute video, Madel emphasized that he supports Immigration and Customs Enforcement's "originally stated goals" in its Operation Metro Surge in his state. He argued, though, that the operation "has expanded far beyond its stated focus on true public safety threats." He pointed to U.S. citizens carrying papers to prove their citizenship and Hispanic and Asian law enforcement officers who he says "have been pulled over by ICE on pretextual stops."

The FBI executed a search warrant on Wednesday at an elections office in Fulton County, Georgia, seeking to take ballots in an investigation that a source told CBS News is linked to the 2020 presidential election. Fulton County confirmed that the FBI executed a search warrant at its election operations center and "sought a number of records related to 2020 elections." A state senator who was present told reporters the FBI sought hundreds of boxes of ballots. The search drew several top Trump administration officials. Deputy FBI Director Andrew Bailey and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard were both spotted outside the elections office late Wednesday. If you've been watching TV, you've probably seen the ads. Melania, a big-budget movie about first lady Melania Trump, premieres today with a splashy event at the newly-renamed Trump Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. It is set to open on 1,500 screens in the U.S. this weekend, a highly unconventional rollout compared to other films of this type. Amazon acquired the film for $40 million and is spending another $35 million on marketing, according to a source with direct knowledge who requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to the media. "It's just hard to imagine why this number is justified for 'Melania,'" said Jason Spingarn-Koff, a professor of journalism at UC Berkeley.

Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Wednesday criticized Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s assertion that the U.S.’s capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro was not an act of war. During testimony in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Rubio reiterated the Trump administration’s position that the mission to capture Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, earlier this month was a “law enforcement operation.” The Secretary of State noted Paul, a libertarian who frequently criticized the administration’s posture toward Venezuela prior to and following Maduro’s capture, has “been very consistent on all these points [his] entire career, no matter who’s in charge.”
