#1 Trump’s meeting with Zelensky in Florida - NBC News, BrooklynDad_Defiant!/Dr Sircus, Selvam, Meduza in English, MAGAPatriot, and WorldNewsAndSports on X

President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy indicated after a face-to-face meeting Sunday that they are close to a potential peace deal to end Russia's war in Ukraine, but did not announce any major breakthroughs. During a news conference following their sit-down at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property in Florida, Trump and Zelenskyy struck an optimistic tone while acknowledging that challenges remain. “You can say 95%, but I don’t like to say percentages. I just think we’re doing very well,” Trump said. “There are one or two very thorny issues, very tough issues, but I think we’re doing very well. We made a lot of progress today.”

#2 US Offers Ukraine 15-Year Security Guarantee as Part of Peace Plan, Zelenskyy Says - Illia Novikov for AP, Rand Paul, World War 3, New York Post, Robert A. Pape, and SITREP on X

The United States is offering Ukraine security guarantees for a period of 15 years as part of a proposed peace plan, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Monday, though he said he would prefer an American commitment of up to 50 years to deter Russia from further attempts to seize its neighbor’s land by force. U.S. President Donald Trump hosted Zelenskyy at his Florida resort on Sunday and insisted that Ukraine and Russia are “closer than ever before” to a peace settlement. Negotiators are still searching for a breakthrough on key issues, however, including whose forces withdraw from where in Ukraine and the fate of Ukraine’s Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, one of the 10 biggest in the world. Trump noted that the months-long U.S.-led negotiations could still collapse. “Without security guarantees, realistically, this war will not end,” Zelenskyy told reporters in voice messages responding to questions sent via a WhatsApp chat...

#3 The Silent Emergency: How Digital Life is Harming Our Children - Tracy Beanz and Michelle Edwards for The HighWire, UncoverDC, Hayden/Luay Rahil, Doc Anarchy | Renegade Health Mag, SERENEASE, and Scott Adams/Owen Gregorian/James Revere on X
It is essential to recognize the profound impact of our technological landscape on today’s children. As concerned stewards of the AI-driven future rapidly emerging before us and as fierce advocates for the well-being of today’s youth, we must sound an alarming wake-up call, because the health of our children is being silently dismantled. This breakdown is not being caused by disease or by war (although these are both concerns), but by the very technologies we’ve handed to them. The digital environment into which today’s youth have been thrust is neither neutral nor benign. Instead, it is a field of distortion and fragmentation that pulls their developing psyche away from its inherent memory, rhythm, and genuine connection to the essence of who they are...

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s defense of Somalia’s territorial claims and her opposition to the recognition of an independent Somaliland have been criticized as authorities ramp up investigations into alleged mass fraud in her home state. One analyst argued the corruption scandal allegedly involving Somali communities in Minnesota is relevant when contrasting failures in Somalia and the stability of Somaliland, an autonomous region that Omar has opposed recognizing. Michael Rubin, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, claimed highlighting the difference between the two regions "mattered."

The United States on Monday announced a $2 billion pledge for U.N. humanitarian aid as President Trump's administration continues to slash U.S. foreign assistance and warns United Nations agencies to "adapt, shrink or die" in a time of new financial realities. The money is a small fraction of what the U.S. has contributed in the past, but reflects what the administration believes is a generous amount that will maintain the United States' status as the world's largest humanitarian donor. The pledge creates an umbrella fund from which money will be doled out to individual agencies and priorities, a key part of U.S. demands for drastic changes across the world body that have alarmed many humanitarian workers and led to severe reductions in programs and services...
