#1 Here’s How Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill Could Impact Your Tax Refunds in April - Taylor Herzlich for The New York Post, ᶜᵒᵐᵐᵉᶰᵗᵃʳʸ John F. Kennedy Jr., Michelle/Bob, Crypto Rover/jeisan.c, and Rapid Response 47/Legit Jaredness/bruce whale on X

The first tax season under President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act is fast approaching – and most filers can expect a slew of fresh and enlarged deductions that will result in bigger refund checks in the mail. The tax-and-spending bill is expected to go down as the signature legislative achievement of Trump’s second term, extending his 2017 tax cuts and adding an estimated $4 trillion to the deficit. It also will save the average US taxpayer hundreds if not thousands of dollars, according to experts...

#2 Trump Administration Touts ‘Most Secure Border in History’ as 2.5 Million Migrants Exit US - Michael Sinkewicz for Fox News, Nick Sortor, Leading Report, Aaron Reichlin-Melnick/U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Jack on X

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Friday that more than 2.5 million illegal immigrants have left the United States since President Donald Trump returned to office this year, citing a sweeping immigration crackdown it says has led to the "most secure border in American history." In a year-end report highlighting the agency's accomplishments, DHS claimed that illegal border crossings plunged 93% year-over-year, fentanyl trafficking was cut in half, and hundreds of thousands of criminal illegal immigrants were either arrested or deported, amounting to a dramatic shift from the Biden administration...

#3 DHS Raises Self-Deport Bonus to $3K - Charlie McCarthy for Newsmax, Stray-Dog™, Lisa Rae, Gunther Eagleman, and Breanna Morello on X

The Department of Homeland Security is now offering $3,000 to illegal migrants who voluntarily self-deport from the U.S. before the new year, it is being reported. According to CBS News, DHS has tripled its "exit bonus" from $1,000 to $3,000 for illegal migrants who sign up with the federal government and depart by Dec. 31, 2025, using the rebranded "CBP Home" app. DHS says eligible participants will also receive free airfare to their home countries and may have certain civil fines or penalties waived if they leave voluntarily...

#4 CBS Shelves ‘60 Minutes’ Story on Trump Deportees at the Last Minute: ‘People Are Threatening to Quit,’ Staffers Say - Brian Stelter for CNN, Michael M. Grynbaum, Yashar Ali/Paul A. Szypula, Mario Nawfal/John Moore, @therealtommya/Richard Grenell, and Fox News on X

“60 Minutes” just suffered a severe blow to its credibility. Now one of its own correspondents fears the program is being “dismantled,” and some employees are threatening to quit. The trigger: CBS News suddenly shelved a segment featuring the accounts of Venezuelan men deported by the Trump administration to a notorious maximum-security prison in El Salvador. The correspondent who reported the story, Sharyn Alfonsi, said in an internal memo that “the public will correctly identify this as corporate censorship.” According to Alfonsi and two CBS sources who spoke with CNN on condition of anonymity, the story had been fully fact-checked and legally vetted by the time the network publicized it on Friday afternoon...

#5 The Biggest Fraud in Welfare - Phil Gramm and John Early for The Wall Street Journal, Chef Andrew Gruel/Steve Guest, Kevin Bass/Austen Allred, Byron York, Wall Street Mav, Peter St Onge, Ph.D., and @amuse on X

Something is profoundly wrong with the U.S. welfare system—a problem that runs far deeper and is more dangerous than the shocking fraud in Minnesota that has been making headlines. Across the past half-century, America has seen what in any other country would be considered a golden age, in which lower-income households have made incredible progress. Despite the end of our postwar economic dominance around 1975, the country’s real per-capita gross domestic product grew by 142% from 1974 to 2024. More than two-thirds of U.S. households have inflation-adjusted incomes today that would have put them in the top one-fifth of households in 1967. Sixty-two percent of the children who grew up in the poorest fifth of all households in the ’70s and ’80s worked their way up to a higher income bracket as adults, some all the way to the top quintile...

The Justice Department on Friday released hundreds of thousands of documents about accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein in a pivotal moment in the years-long saga that has emerged as one of the most explosive issues of President Donald Trump's second administration (here's a list of all the people in the files). But for lack of a good search function, the large volume of materials left it difficult to navigate the "Epstein Library" (see what was released for yourself). The release provided few references to President Donald Trump. And not all the Epstein documents were released, despite the deadline imposed by Congress...

#7 Conservative Infighting Explodes at Turning Point USA’s Americafest - Li Zhou for Huff Post, Dennis Michael Lynch, Real America's Voice (RAV)/Gabby Rios, Evan Kilgore, Doctor Sleep, MnMom808, Maxx Everett Buswell, and Catturd/Elle on X

Top conservative influencers repeatedly turned on each other at Turning Point USA’s annual confab this past week while grappling with how to take on rising antisemitism and bigotry in the Republican Party. The sold-out gathering, which was billed as AmericaFest and held in Phoenix, was the first event of its magnitude since TPUSA’s founder Charlie Kirk was shot and killed earlier this year. The infighting points to deeper divides the party is struggling to address, particularly since many of its younger members have embraced Nick Fuentes, a white supremacist and Holocaust denier, and other extremist views...

#8 Wyoming GOP Sen. Cynthia Lummis Announces She Won’t Seek Re-Election - Alexandra Marquez and Brennan Leach for NBC News, Office Scribbles, Dean Stoline, Fact Checker, BitBlitz, Yona Gushiken, and Jennifer Harper on X

Sen. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., announced Friday that she won’t seek re-election next year, saying that “I do not have six more years in me.” “Deciding not to run for re-election does represent a change of heart for me, but in the difficult, exhausting session weeks this fall, I’ve come to accept that I do not have six more years in me. I am a devout legislator, but I feel like a sprinter in a marathon. The energy required doesn’t match up,” Lummis, 71, said in a statement. “I am honored to have earned the support of President Trump and to have the opportunity to work side by side with him to fight for the people of Wyoming. I look forward to continuing this partnership and throwing all my energy into bringing important legislation to his desk in 2026 and into retaining commonsense Republican control of the U.S. Senate,” she added...

Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has announced she is dropping out of the race for governor of New York and will not seek re-election to Congress. Her announcement comes days after Republican Bruce Blakeman, who like Stefanik is a close Donald Trump ally, said he intended to challenge her in the upcoming primary in the 2026 governor race. Stefanik had announced her bid to challenge Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul in early November. In a post on X on Friday, Stefanik said that while she believes she would have won the primary "it is not an effective use of our time or your generous resources to spend the first half of next year in an unnecessary and protracted" campaign...

President Trump announced Monday that he has appointed Louisiana GOP Gov. Jeff Landry as U.S. special envoy to Greenland. "Jeff understands how essential Greenland is to our National Security, and will strongly advance our Country’s Interests for the Safety, Security, and Survival of our Allies, and indeed, the World. Congratulations Jeff!," Trump said in a Truth Social post.  In the early months of his presidency, Trump, like other U.S. presidents before him, made a bid to buy Greenland from Denmark.  Greenland, the world's largest island that is not a continent, is located in the Arctic and is considered a strategic position for the U.S., which has military bases there. More recently, the self-governing island has become of increased interest because of its natural resources including rare earth minerals...
