Pete Hegseth was put on notice over the weekend by two conservative lawyers, including a former prosecutor, who said the Defense Secretary's defense to a major new scandal "makes no legal sense" and is not really "a defense."

Observers' eyebrows were raised after it was reported by the Washington Post in a bombshell story that Hegseth ordered the killing of two survivors of one of the controversial drug vessel bombings. Some analysts questioned whether it was murder or even a war crime....

The top vaccine chief at the Food and Drug Administration sent out a memo saying the FDA will seek a stricter review and approval protocol for vaccine trials.  In the memo on Friday, Dr. Vinay Prasad claimed a new review of records linked 10 children’s deaths to the Covid vaccine.  “These deaths are related to vaccination (likely/probable/possible attribution made by staff," Prasad wrote.  No information about how the conclusions were reached was shared in the memo, nor were they made public or published in a peer-reviewed journal.  The memo was first reported by a PBS Newshour correspondent and later obtained and posted online by the Washington Post...

#3 Long COVID: Vax, Spike, Clot, Repeat - Tracy Bdanz and Michelle Edwards for The HighWire, UncoverDC, Erich Hartmann, VaccineMole, Sayer Ji, and bitolaman on X
A recent peer-reviewed study has emerged with findings that quietly confirm that the dreaded and debilitating Long COVID is the result of the experimental COVID-19 injections, not the virus itself, as many would like us to believe. Tellingly, every single vaccinated participant in the study was found to have fibrinolysis-resistant, Thioflavin-T-positive amyloid microclots circulating in their blood. Yes, you read that correctly: 100% of the participants were vaccinated. And yet, the authors frame these findings in the familiar language of “Long COVID” from the virus, a narrative choice that, upon closer inspection, reveals that Long COVID occurred almost entirely in those heavily vaccinated, without any lab confirmation of previously being infected with SARS-CoV-2. Thus, as pointed out by Nicolas Hulscher, MPH...

Luigi Mangione, the 27-year-old accused of killing a health insurance company executive in a brazen attack that sparked a national debate, will appear in court Monday as his attorneys seek to have his diary entries and other key evidence tossed from his state murder case. Mangione was arrested at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania following a days-long manhunt after United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, 50, was fatally shot December 4, 2024, on a busy sidewalk in midtown Manhattan. During the arrest, law enforcement recovered several pieces of evidence from Mangione’s backpack that authorities say tie him to the killing. Mangione’s lawyers argue police illegally searched his bag without a warrant, so that evidence should be barred from the state’s case. Prosecutors denied the defense’s claims and agreed to a hearing on the matter...

We’ll know Wednesday morning if a special election in Tennessee is truly a referendum on country music, pedal taverns, and bachelorettes.
