#1 Trump Admin. Works to Recover Over $1B in Medicaid Money; Says Given to Illegal Immigrants - Geoff Harris for CNY Central, Judy/Wall Street Apes, Wanda Gilbert, RealRobert/Camilla, and Jim DaBink on X
The Trump administration is planning to recover over $1 billion in federal Medicaid money, it says is benefiting illegal immigrants in blue states. Preliminary audit by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services found that, mostly during 2024-2025, multiple states were using the money improperly. California, the biggest culprit, spends over $1.3 billion in federal Medicaid dollars on healthcare for illegal immigrants. "We're actually clawing that money back from those states now, but the fact that that could still happen is very frustrating to all of us," Dr. Mehmet Oz, Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, told Fox Business in late October.... The Biden Justice Department seized President Trump’s official cellphone from his first term and issued a subpoena for his personal call logs, Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed Tuesday. Bondi said the apparently unprecedented action was part of the Arctic Frost investigation of the steps by Trump and his allies to challenge his loss in the 2020 election. “During the Arctic Frost Investigation, we found that Special Counsel [Jack Smith] seized President Trump’s government-issued phone,” Bondi revealed in an X post. US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has warned that air travel capacity will be cut by up to 10% at 40 major airports over the coming days if the government shutdown continues. The decision, which is expected to affect domestic flights only, was made because air traffic controllers had been reporting fatigue, the head of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said at a briefing alongside Duffy. Some 1.4 million federal workers, from air traffic controllers to park wardens, are working without pay - or are on forced leave - because the US Congress has not agreed on a federal funding budget. Unions say many employees are becoming ill with stress or are being forced into taking second jobs... For three immigration judges, the day took a similar turn. Kyra Lilien, who was hired in 2023, was presiding in a courtroom in Concord, Calif., in July when she paused the hearing of an immigrant seeking asylum to read an email. "I told them that we were not going to have a hearing because I had just been fired," Lilien said. Present in the court was a court interpreter and an attorney for the Department of Homeland Security. "They asked me if I was joking." Anam Petit, who was hired as an immigration judge in 2023 after a career in immigrant defense, was sitting on the bench in her courtroom in Virginia's Annandale Immigration Court in September. It was her two-year anniversary in the position, and she was between hearings when she got the email... The O’Keefe Media Group on Wednesday released undercover video of a California Democratic Party insider admitting to intentionally gerrymandering and revealed a strategy for Newsom to funnel Prop 50 donations into a 2028 presidential war chest. As expected, California voters approved Prop 50, which could help the Democrats flip 5 congressional seats in 2026 on Tuesday. Thanks to ballot drop boxes, mail-in ballots, ballot harvesting, and illegal aliens, voters approved Newsom’s power grab to eliminate five GOP congressional seats through 2030. And now Newsom may funnel the Prop 50 donations into a 2028 Presidential slush fund... President Donald Trump on Tuesday said California’s redistricting attempts are not only unconstitutional but also part of a statewide process that is “rigged” against Republicans — and that those procedures were under review. While the president indicated that California’s processes were under review, he did not elaborate on which entities might be taking a look at the state’s rules, which allow any registered voter to vote by mail. “All ‘Mail-In’ Ballots, where the Republicans in that State are ‘Shut Out,’ are under very serious legal and criminal review,” Trump warned in a Truth Social post. “STAY TUNED!”

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Wednesday she filed a complaint against a man who groped her and tried to kiss her as she walked between meetings in the capital city, a day after a video of the incident went viral.
"If this happens to the president, where does that leave all the young women in our country?" said Sheinbaum, Mexico's first female president. "No man has the right to abuse women's personal space." Video of the incident quickly ricocheted across the internet before being taken down by some accounts, underscoring for many in Mexico the insecurity women face in a country steeped in machismo and gender-based violence....
