#10 Top Biden Aide Admits to Congress She Directed Autopen Signatures Without Knowing Who Gave Final Approval - Alec Schemmel and Elizabeth Elkind for Fox News, Walter Curt, Kyle Becker, HustleBitch, RealRobert, and Tim Young on X

A former top aide to President Joe Biden said she was authorized to direct autopen signatures but was unaware of who in the president's inner circle was giving her final clearance, according to a source familiar with the aide's closed-door testimony in front of Congress Tuesday. Neera Tanden, the former director of Biden's Domestic Policy Council, testified for hours Tuesday during an interview in front of the House Oversight Committee, which is investigating the former president's mental acuity and his use of an automatic signature tool that allowed aides to sign pardons, memos and other important documents on Biden's behalf.  During Tanden's interview before Congress, which lasted more than five hours, she told lawmakers that, in her role as staff secretary and senior advisor to the former president between 2021 and 2023, she was authorized to direct autopen signatures on behalf of Biden, an Oversight Committee official told Fox News...

#9 Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan Delivers Stark Warning to Zohran Mamdani After NYC Primary Win: ‘Game On’ - Nicholas McEntyre for New York Post, Nick Sortor/Daniel Christopher, Daniel Arthur, Jack Straw, and Anteconomy_dailybreif on X

President Trump’s border czar Tom Homan ripped into Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral campaign promise to “kick the fascist ICE out of New York City,” telling the Democratic socialist that it’s “game on.” Homan, who Trump tabbed to serve as the top immigration enforcer in the administration, called out Mamdani on Wednesday, one day after the 33-year-old Queens assemblyman declared victory in the NYC Democratic primary. Mamdani has vowed to “Trump-Proof” the Big Apple if he were to be elected mayor, claiming the president has “deployed ICE agents to pluck New Yorkers from their families,” according to his campaign website...

#8 Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill Is Facing Trouble on Multiple Fronts in the Senate - NPR, Terri Savage, Mark Riley, Fox News Politics, Christian/Patriot, The White House/Kayn/Grok, and News 19 on X

Senate Republicans are racing the clock, trying to meet President Trump's demand that they pass his domestic agenda bill by July 4th as they work to resolve major sticking points inside the GOP conference. While Senate committee leaders have made several significant changes to the bill in recent days, the issue of funding for rural hospitals has emerged as a major roadblock. Senate GOP leaders are also waiting to learn if major tax provisions in the bill meet strict Senate rules for what can be included in the bill and still pass with a simple majority vote. The Senate parliamentarian — a non-partisan member of the body's professional staff — is still reviewing those elements to make sure each has a direct impact on the budget, among other regulations. Several provisions in the House version, such as one barring nationwide judicial injunctions, have already been cut in that review...

#7 HUD Announces New Headquarters, Ending Era of Costly Repairs, Health Hazards - U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, The HUD Channel on YouTube, GSA Public Buildings Service, and New York Post on X
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner announced the relocation of HUD headquarters from the Robert C. Weaver Federal Building to 2415 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia. The move would unlock several hundred million dollars in taxpayer savings, address serious health and safety threats, enhance the Department's work culture, and present an opportunity for greater collaboration and service to the American people. “It is time to turn the page on the Weaver Building and relocate to a new headquarters that prioritizes the well-being of HUD employees and properly reflects the passion and excellence of our team,” said HUD Secretary Scott Turner. “There are serious concerns with the current state of HUD’s headquarters, including health hazards, leaks, and structural and maintenance failures. Many of these risks will needlessly and irresponsibly continue to absorb taxpayer dollars. Relocating is about more than just changing buildings; it’s about a mission-minded shift that we hope will inspire every employee. Under President Trump’s leadership, we are advancing this vision and instituting a new American Golden Age.”

#5 White House Posts ‘Daddy’s Home’ Video After NATO Chief Clarifies Comments - Joe Sommerlad for Independent, Nick Sortor, The White House/Make Men Great Again, Jackie, Karlie Bonne, and Julia on X

The White House has welcomed President Donald Trump back from Wednesday’s NATO summit in the Netherlands with a cringe-inducing social media video set to the 2010 song “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)” by Usher. The clip, a montage of Trump stepping out of Air Force One back on American soil, followed by choice scenes from the summit, is a reference to NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte jokingly nicknaming the president “daddy” during their sitdown yesterday. The pair had been discussing the Israel-Iran conflict and the swift collapse of the ceasefire Trump had hailed as marking the end of the “12 Day War” after the two sides accused each other of violating its terms.

#4 Iran’s Supreme Leader Says They Gave ‘Heavy Slap’ to US and Downplays Nuclear Site Strikes - BBC News, Britannia Daily, Shawn Griffin, ALL GONE, TuckFrump, and Hank on X

As we've just reported, Iran's supreme leader downplayed the impact of the US strike on three of Iran's nuclear sites, suggesting they had "failed to achieve anything significant". This directly contradicts Donald Trump's claims that the US had "obliterated" Iran's nuclear programme when 125 military aircraft targeted the sites of Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. Speaking at the Nato summit in the Netherlands yesterday, Trump rejected a Pentagon intelligence report that suggested the US had only set back Iran's programme "by a few months". Instead, Trump insisted that the nuclear sites in Iran were "completely destroyed" and accused the media of "an attempt to demean one of the most successful military strikes in history"...

A Senate panel challenged on a bipartisan basis the merits of cancelling billions of dollars in spending for foreign aid and public media as part of a contentious hearing Wednesday examining the White House’s request for the cuts. The House has already voted to claw back $9.4 billion as requested by President Donald Trump. Now, the Senate is preparing to take up the package with a July 18 deadline for action. If the Senate declines to approve a measure by then, the Trump administration must obligate and spend the funds in question.
