#10 Who’s Leaking at the Pentagon? - George Caldwell for The Daily Signal, General Michael Flynn/Hans Mahncke, Breanna Morello, George, Buzz Patterson, and Wall Street Apes on X
The Pentagon has a leak problem, and high-ranking Defense Department figures are not shying away from making accusations against those they suspect of speaking to the press off the record.

In the past months, high-profile leaks have included reports of Elon Musk’s communications with Pentagon officials, the contents of Signal chats that included top Cabinet members, and planned military movements around the Panama Canal and the Red Sea. Former Pentagon adviser Dan Caldwell made a shocking accusation in an appearance on Tucker Carlson’s podcast aired Monday—that a group of anti-Trump officials within the Defense Department’s orbit is responsible for the leaks...

The US will ban eight commonly used artificial food dyes in a bid to help Americans "know what's in their food", Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr announced on Tuesday. Officials said two petroleum-based synthetic dyes would be phased out in the coming weeks, and others by the end of 2026. Experts have linked the dyes - which are found in dozens of foods, including cereals, candy, snacks and beverages - to neurological problems in some children. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) plans to authorise four new natural color additives in the coming weeks to help companies find alternatives quickly, the agency said...

The head of the National Institutes of Health now says it could take until next year to get preliminary results from their new studies into autism, marking the latest delay to findings that Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had promised by September. "We're going to get hopefully grants out the door by the end of the summer," NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya told reporters Tuesday. "And people will get to work. We'll have a major conference, with updates, within the next year."

Bhattacharya said it should still be considered "a very rapid study by NIH's normal standards," saying the institute was working to "cut the red tape without cutting the rigor" in launching its new research grants...

#7 Russian Harvard Scientist Kseniia Petrova ‘Knowingly’ Smuggled Illicit Items to US: Feds - Sarah Rumpf-Whitten and Kitty Le Claire for Fox News, Homeland Security/Emily Galvin-Almanza, Amuse, AllSides, NBC News Health, and New York Post on X

Federal authorities said Harvard's Kseniia Petrova "knowingly broke the law" amid their ongoing push to deport the Russian scientist. Petrova, a bioinformatician at the Kirschner Lab at Harvard Medical School, was detained at Boston Logan International Airport on Feb. 16 as she returned from a trip to Paris. Her attorney, Gregory Romanovsky, told Fox News that Petrova was bringing back frog embryos at the request of a professor at a French lab with which the Ivy League university was collaborating. According to Romanovsky, the sample was picked up in Paris and was supposed to be brought to Harvard, and Petrova was unaware she needed to claim it at customs...

High-level talks aimed at bringing a pause to fighting in Ukraine disintegrated Wednesday after Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff pulled out of the meeting, dealing a blow to Kyiv’s hopes for a short-term peace agreement. While ministerial talks that had been planned to take place in London fell apart, President Donald Trump’s special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, still planned to meet with the Ukrainian presidential chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, who arrived in London early Wednesday, along with the Ukrainian defense and foreign ministers...

US President Donald Trump has signaled a potential U-turn on his trade war with China amid continued market volatility, saying the high tariffs on Chinese goods will “come down substantially, but it won’t be zero.” Trump’s remarks, made at a White House news event Tuesday, appear to mark a rhetorical climbdown after weeks of tough posturing and tit-for-tat retaliation that sent tariffs on China beyond a staggering 145%. “145% is very high, and it won’t be that high,” Trump said in a question-and-answer session with reporters in the Oval Office. “It won’t be anywhere near that high. It’ll come down substantially. But it won’t be zero.”

The Trump administration is reportedly considering several different ways to increase U.S. birth rates after historic declines, including a $5,000 baby bonus. The New York Times reported Monday that the administration is toying with several ideas and incentives to address this lingering problem. As Breitbart News reported, the U.S. birth rate fell to an all-time low in 2023. The provisional number of births for the United States was 3,591,328 in 2023, down from 2022, which saw 3,667,758 — a difference of 76,430 births. According to reports, one of the proposals to encourage women to have children includes a $5,000 baby bonus, which would be given to mothers after the delivery of their child. Another proposal involves saving 30 percent of Fulbright program scholarships for those who are married or have children...

#Eliminating Parabens & Phthalates Reverses Cancer-Associated Changes in Breast Tissue in Just 28 Days - Tracy Beanz and Michelle Edwards for The HighWire, UncoverDC
We slather and spray them all over our face, hair, and body. We eat them in our favorite foods. And we blindly trust they’re safe and likely don’t even know they’re there when we use the Neosporin in our cabinet to treat our kid’s scrape. Indeed, the cancer-causing endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs), parabens, and phthalates are everywhere, and they wreak havoc on the human body. And, concerningly, due to their estrogen-mimicking properties, parabens and phthalates contribute to breast cancer development. But all hope is not lost. Indeed, a study in Chemosphere suggests that just 28 days without exposure to parabens and phthalates can reverse cancer-associated molecular changes in healthy breast tissue. Again, in less than one month...

#2 Kennewick School District Joins Trump’s Fight to Save Women’s Sports from Transgender Policies - Brooklynn Robinson for UncoverDC, Sharon Black, Maureen, and Joe on X
In a bold move for fairness, the Kennewick School District in Washington State has filed a Title IX complaint with the U.S Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights. This aligns with President Trump's unwavering mission to protect women and girls in sports. The district is challenging state officials, including Superintendent Chris Reykdal, the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, for their discriminatory policies. These policies allow biological males to compete in female sports and force schools to adopt extreme transgender policies. This fight in the Kennewick School District is a testament to the values championed by President Trump, who has made safeguarding women's sports a cornerstone agenda.

President Trump said Tuesday he has "no intention of firing" Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell, one day after the president called Powell a "major loser" and publicly lobbied the central bank chief to lower interest rates at a faster clip. When reporters in the Oval Office asked Mr. Trump if he had any plans to fire Powell, Mr. Trump said he "never did" and claimed "the press runs away with things"—though he once again pressed Powell to cut interest rates, which remain elevated after the Fed hiked rates to quell inflation. "This is a perfect time to lower interest rates," Mr. Trump said. "If he doesn't, is it the end? No, it's not. But it would be good timing."
