President Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a temporary deal Monday evening to halt the imposition of 25% tariffs on each other’s imports for 30 days while a final border security pact gets hashed out. Trump, 78, and Trudeau, 53, spoke on the phone twice Monday before announcing the agreement, with Canada set to ensure 10,000 troops will be stationed at the northern border and the PM vowing to take steps to crack down on fentanyl smuggling. “Canada has agreed to ensure we have a secure Northern Border and to finally end the deadly scourge of drugs like Fentanyl that have been pouring into our Country,” Trump announced on Truth Social, following the call with Trudeau. “Canada will implement their $1.3 Billion Border plan.”

New York’s Democratic Attorney General Letitia James warned hospitals Monday that prematurely pausing gender-affirming care for transgender minors in compliance with a recent executive order from President Trump could violate state law.  Trump’s Jan. 28 executive order, one of several dozen the president signed during his first days back in office, broadly targets federal support for transition-related care for transgender children and teenagers up to 19 years old. It directs federal agencies to block government funding for medical institutions, including medical schools and hospitals, that provide puberty blockers, hormones, and surgery to youth, causing some facilities to suspend gender-affirming care preemptively over fear they will be stripped of federal dollars needed to keep them up and running...

Thousands of demonstrators rallied in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday and shut down a section of the 101 Freeway to protest President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration and his aggressive deportation policies. Draped in Mexican and Salvadoran flags, demonstrators gathered near City Hall shortly before noon, blocking traffic at Spring and Temple streets, amid honking horns and solidarity messages from passing motorists. Protesters blasted a mix of traditional and contemporary Mexican music from a loudspeaker, and some danced on the road in traditional feathered headdresses.

Two employees of the authority that manages Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport were arrested over their alleged involvement in leaking surveillance footage of last week’s deadly midair aircraft collision to CNN. 

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) staffers are accused of making an unauthorized copy of records and are facing charges of computer trespass, the agency said Monday.  The legal trouble is tied to the chilling video obtained by CNN last week that offered a horrifying new vantage point in the crash over the Potomac River, ABC News reported.  The Wednesday night collision between a Black Hawk helicopter and an American Airlines passenger jet killed all 67 people on both aircraft...

President Joe Biden's Department of State spent at least $100,000 promoting "LGBTQ" propaganda abroad, according to a Republican congressman. House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Brian Mast (R-Fla.) said the Biden administration spent absurd amounts of money to promote publications and events in different countries. Mast appeared on CBS' "Face the Nation," where he talked about a "purging" of the State Department and freezing foreign aid as being "very important steps" toward securing the United States. Host Margaret Brennan immediately wanted to know what Mast meant by "purging."

Mexican drug cartels are ordering their members to target U.S. Border Patrol agents with kamikaze drones and other explosives amid a crackdown at the southern border by the Trump administration.  An internal memo titled "Officer Safety Alert" cited social media posts and other sources for the warning to federal agents, the New York Post reported. Agents were reminded to be "cognizant of their surroundings" and should be wearing their ballistic armor and utilizing their long firearms...
