“Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the song of angry men,
It is the music of a people who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart echoes the beating of the drums,
There is a life about to start when tomorrow comes…”
~Les Mis
Tomorrow is here, and it’s a new dawn. Today we stand at a unique moment—one filled with the promise of change, hope, and yes, a little redemption. This journey hasn’t been easy. We’ve faced harsh labels—Nazis, garbage, domestic terrorists, uninformed rubes, bigots, racists—the list goes on. But we know better. We know that we are all part of something bigger. And this moment?
It’s bigger than all of us.
We’ve been given a coalition unlike anything this country has seen before—an “American Avengers” team that truly captures the spirit of our great nation. I’ll admit, as we approached this election I didn’t exactly have this on my bingo card. Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr., Vivek Ramaswamy, Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson, and more—all at the table, bringing together a spectrum of viewpoints that just might help us solve problems in ways we once thought impossible. This team offers a unique opportunity, a renaissance for America, one that can help our nation not just survive, but truly thrive!
The past few years have left us feeling alienated, demonized, demoralized, and misrepresented. Yet, here we are, victorious—and now it’s up to us to decide what that victory looks like. I suggest we choose to rise above, to show grace, humility, and the kind of love and compassion that defies the labels they’ve tried to stick on us.
Let’s even lean in—if we’re supposed to be “deplorables,” let’s be the most welcoming, joyful, and compassionate “deplorables” anyone’s ever seen!
We have the opportunity to make the most of this moment by staying focused and avoiding distractions.
We’ve seen how quickly things can fall apart in a few short years. Now, we have a chance to rebuild and rebound even faster. But if we want to achieve that, it starts with us. It starts with the energy we put out there. It starts with an outstretched hand—and most importantly, with love.
We’ve been conditioned to see each other as the ‘enemy,’ but that doesn’t have to be our narrative anymore. We can set the example by reaching out, showing love, compassion, and understanding, and proving that, yes, we can have good-faith disagreements without tearing each other down.
I’m reminded of the classic meme of a king overlooking a mob with pitchforks and torches. He says, “We don’t have to fight them; we just need to convince the pitchfork people that the torch people want to take their pitchforks away.” It’s a playbook we’re all familiar with: divide, distract, and keep people at each other’s throats. But we don’t have to play along. We can refuse to participate. We don’t have to give “them” that power anymore. Instead, we can focus on fostering mutual understanding, recognizing each other’s shared humanity, and working together toward common goals.
So let’s take a moment to celebrate—after all, we’ve earned it! We weathered the storm of the 2020 election, persisted and resisted through mandates and censorship, and braved every roadblock thrown our way. We remember it all, but we’re choosing a new path. We don’t have to forget—or even forgive—but we can choose to channel that energy into something truly constructive. It’s a choice. Let’s make this a season of renewal and rebirth, a time where Americans from every corner can thrive, take ownership of their lives, and reach their full potential.
The real work begins now. We’ve given President-Elect Trump and his coalition a mandate, and now it’s on us to hold them accountable. Together, let’s choose to make this a time that reflects the best of America—a time of resilience, unity, and the determination to build a future where every American feels they have a seat at the table.
Here’s to an incredible journey ahead. And maybe, just maybe, we can even go back to arguing over the really important stuff, like whether pineapple belongs on pizza or if that stupid dress really is blue (internet deep cut!)… ah, simpler times.
Onward!
