An Alaska man was arrested Wednesday for threatening to murder six Supreme Court justices, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ). Panos Anastasiou sent over 465 messages intended for the justices through the Supreme Court’s website between March 2023 and July 2024, which allegedly became threatening after Jan. 4 and included “violent, racist, and homophobic rhetoric coupled with threats of assassination via torture, hanging, and firearms,” according to the indictment. Anastasiou, who will come before Judge Kyle Reardon on Thursday for a detention hearing, has been temporarily detained, according to court records...
#9 Oops! Army Training Mislabeled Nonprofits as Terror Groups for Years- Nikki Wentling for Army Times, Shoe, Rep. Matt Gaetz, and Stars and Stripes on X
At Fort Liberty, thousands of soldiers who were trained on the Army’s antiterrorism policy saw slides that labeled several legitimate nonprofits as terrorist organizations – a blunder that went on for seven years before photos of the slides were posted to social media this summer, prompting outrage. After the training became public, the Army pulled the slides and began an investigation, said Lt. Gen. Patrick Matlock, the Army deputy chief of staff...
#8 Cover-Up: Ex-Border Patrol Chief Says He Was Instructed By Biden-Harris Admin To Hide Terrorist Encounters - Tyler Durden ZeroHedge, and Chuck Callesto on X
In a scathing revelation before Congress, former San Diego Sector Border Patrol Chief Aaron Heitke accused the Biden-Harris administration of covering up a sharp rise in encounters with suspected terrorists at the U.S.-Mexico border. During a House Committee on Homeland Security hearing titled "A Country Without Borders: How Biden-Harris' Open-Borders Policies Have Undermined Our Safety and Security," Heitke said he was muzzled from releasing critical information on the number of Special Interest Aliens (SIAs) — individuals with known or suspected ties to terrorism — apprehended in California...#7 Which Mexico Are You? New Mexico Furious After Texas Installs Razor Wire Along Its Border - Kelly Rissman for Independent, End Wokeness, and SharonGN on X
In an effort to prevent migrant crossings from the southern border, Texas installed a razor wire along its border with New Mexico, not Mexico — upsetting the southwestern state’s governor. Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced on September 14 that his state would be “TRIPLING our razor wire border barriers to deny illegal entry into our state and our country.” However, rather than installing the razor wire along the Rio Grande river bank that faces Mexico, KTSM on Tuesday captured footage of Texas Army National Guard troops installing it along a bank that faces New Mexico. This newly laid barrier extends from West Paisano Drive to the Texas side of the Anapra, New Mexico, according to the outlet...
#6 NYC COVID Adviser Brags in Secret Recording About Drug-Fueled Sex Parties Mid-Pandemic: ‘Had to Be Sneaky’ - Aneeta Bhole and Emily Crane for The New York Post, Jack and John D. Macari Jr. on X
New York City’s former COVID czar was caught on a hidden camera boasting about having drug-fueled sex parties mid-pandemic — and admitting New Yorkers would have been “pissed” if they had found out at the time. Dr. Jay Varma — who served as senior health adviser to then-Mayor Bill de Blasio and was tasked with running the Big Apple’s pandemic response — made the confession in secretly recorded conversations with a so-called undercover operative from conservative podcaster Steven Crowder’s “Mug Club.” “I had to be kind of sneaky about it … because I was running the entire COVID response in the city,” Varma was filmed telling the unidentified woman on Aug. 1 in what appears to be a restaurant. The edited clips of the hidden camera footage, which were all recorded between July 27 and Aug. 14 in New York, were released by Crowder on Thursday. The Post has not reviewed the full, unedited recordings...
#5 Nancy Mace Reveals Flirty DMs from Michael Eric Dyson After Their Explosive CNN Clash: ‘We Look Good Together’ - Phillip Nieto for Mediaite, Nick Sorter, and Rep. Nancy Mace on X
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) revealed flirty private messages Michael Eric Dyson sent to her following their fiery CNN clash over how to pronounce the vice president’s name. Last month, Dyson and Mace clashed after the South Carolina lawmaker repeatedly mispronounced Vice President Kamala Harris’s first name during a CNN panel discussion. Dyson accused Mace of disrespecting Harris and noted that her mispronunciation of the vice president’s name represents “the legacy of white disregard” for Black Americans... A tense hearing related to the Georgia criminal case against former President Donald Trump resulted in a judge allowing one of his co-defendants the chance to subpoena Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. The decision by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Rachel Krause to keep the door open for a subpoena against Willis followed her initial refusal at the outset of the hearing to find Willis in contempt over her alleged violation of state open records laws... Republican FTC Commissioner Melissa Holyoak published a statement on Thursday expressing concern with Big Tech facilitating content harmful to children, but also warning that the Biden-Harris FTC could take actions that result in the censorship of Americans’ online speech. “How social media companies view and treat users increasingly shapes civic discourse and determines the extent of Americans’ freedoms to participate in the modern public square,” Holyoak said... Election officials in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, canceled the use of drop boxes for the election due to security and financial concerns. Luzerne County manager Romilda Crocamo announced the decision Wednesday and argued that security and financial concerns necessitated their removal. 'This lack of oversight raises significant concerns about the potential for unauthorized access and misuse.' “While I recognize that drop boxes can provide alternative means for voters to cast their ballots, I must prioritize the safety and security of our community in the current political climate,” said Crocamo... A new report states that Obamacare ranks last among all high-income nations in terms of healthcare systems, despite the fact that the United States spends more money on healthcare than any other country in the world. The analysis, which compared the healthcare systems of ten high-income countries, used data gathered from the World Health Organization and other sources dating back to 2020. The evaluation focused on five key healthcare measures: health equity, access to care, care process, administrative efficiency, and health outcomes. Countries were ranked based on their overall score: Australia, Netherlands, United Kingdom, New Zealand, France, Sweden, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, and the United States, which came in last place...
