#10 Trump Raises Questions About Participating in ABC Debate: ‘Stay Tuned’ - Brett Samuels for The Hill, Alex Leary

Former President Trump raised questions Sunday about his participation in next month’s debate with Vice President Harris hosted by ABC News. Trump, in a post on Truth Social, complained about the network’s panel and an interview host Jonathan Karl conducted with Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) on “This Week” to question why he should agree to do a debate hosted by the network. “I watched ABC FAKE NEWS this morning, both lightweight reporter Jonathan Carl’s(K?) ridiculous and biased interview of Tom Cotton (who was fantastic!), and their so-called Panel of Trump Haters, and I ask, why would I do the Debate against Kamala Harris on that network?” Trump wrote.

#9 JD Vance Vows Trump Would Not Impose Federal Abortion Ban, Veto It if Comes Across Desk - Emma Colton FOX News, Ian Miles Cheong on X

Ohio Sen. JD Vance vowed that former President Trump would not impose a federal abortion ban if re-elected to the Oval Office, adding that he would veto such a measure if it were to come across his desk.  "Democrats made the case this week, and beyond this week, that Donald Trump, if elected, will impose a federal ban on abortion if he wins. Now, Donald Trump says he won't. But can you commit, senator, sitting right here with me today, that if you and Donald Trump are elected, that you will not impose a federal ban on abortion?" "Meet the Press" host Kristen Welker asked Vance in an interview that aired Sunday...

#8 Republicans Sue North Carolina Elections Board, Allege Flouting of Voter Roll Review Law - Galen Bacharier for Stateline, George, A.P. Dillion on X

Republicans sued North Carolina’s elections board on Thursday, demanding enforcement of a new law that requires cross-checking jury documents to remove noncitizens from voter rolls. The Republican National Committee and North Carolina GOP allege that the North Carolina State Board of Elections has “deliberately declined” to enforce the law. In a news release, they said the lawsuit was designed to “force the NCSBE to immediately clean the voter rolls and prevent non-citizens from voting in November.”

#7 Trump Says He Would Consider Musk for Cabinet Role - Brett Samuels for The Hill, Nick Sortor

Former President Trump said Monday that he would consider Tesla CEO Elon Musk for a job in his Cabinet if he wins the November election. “He’s a very smart guy. I certainly would, if he would do it, I certainly would. He’s a brilliant guy,” Trump told Reuters in an interview. In the same interview, Trump signaled he was open to reversing a $7,500 tax credit for Americans who purchase an electric vehicle. The Biden administration has sought to incentivize the production and purchase of electric cars as part of its push to address climate change. Musk, who also owns the social media platform X, endorsed Trump in the presidential race and backed a super PAC supporting the former president’s bid.

#6 Biden/Harris Spending Spree, Inflation and Existing Home Sales - Anthony B. Sanders Confounded Interest, Tyler Meredith, Proud Southern, and Mike H on X

I really feel like we are living in Mexico during their revolution. Combined Biden/Harris’ spending spree with The Fed’s monetary goonery and we got inflation (gasoline, food, shelter). With spiraling inflation in mortgage rates and shelter prices we saw a correponding decline in existing home sales under Biden/Harris. Harris claims to lower prices on her first day in office (she has been in office as VP since 2021 and actually voted in the US Senate as tie breaker to enact policies that INCREASED Inflation). But her suggestion of $25,000 for ALL first time homebuyers is of course INFLATIONARY. And her anti-price gouging policies willl of course reduce supply of groceries avaiable, driving up INFLATION...

#5 Boeing Employees ‘Humiliated’ That Upstart Rival SpaceX Will Rescue Astronauts Stuck in Space: ‘It’s Shameful’ - Steve Helling and Ronny Reyes for The New York Post, Ultrapurwater, and Margot Cleveland on X

Boeing employees are “humiliated” after NASA announced that two astronauts who have been stranded on the International Space Station by the company’s troubled Starliner space capsule will have to be rescued by Elon Musk’s upstart rival SpaceX, one worker told The Post. Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams — who went up to the ISS in June for what was supposed to be an eight-day mission — will have to wait another six months until a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft can carry them safely home, because their original ride is leaking helium and has problems with its thrusters. The Florida-based staffer with Boeing’s space program said the decision was the latest blow to the aerospace giant, which is already suffering backlash from a slew of commercial flight incidents earlier this year...

#4 FDA ‘Fact Check’ of RFK Jr.’s Claim That 50% of Its Funding Comes From Big Pharma Backfires Bigly - Jamie White for Infowars, Calley Means, and Cary Kelly on X

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was mercilessly mocked online after attempting to fact-check Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s claim that half of the agency’s funding comes from pharmaceutical companies. In a pathetic attempt to dunk on RFK Jr., the FDA pointed out that Big Pharma was actually responsible for 47% of its funding, not 50%.  RFK Jr. had previously claimed that “half” or “nearly half” of the FDA’s budget came from pharmaceutical companies. More recently, Kennedy asserted that Big Pharma funding accounted for about 75% of the FDA’s budget...

#3 RFK Jr.’s Speech Wasn’t Republican or Democrat but American - Margot Cleveland for The Federalist, Dustin Kittle on X

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. excoriated the Democrat Party, U.S. government, and our supposedly free press during his Friday press conference. Kennedy’s announcement that he will remove his name as a candidate for president in swing states and endorses Donald Trump brought cheers from Trump supporters and derision from Democrat die-hards. But what does the alliance between Trump and Kennedy mean to the future of the Republican platform? Properly understood, nothing...

#2 Alaskans Could Repeal Ranked Choice Voting in November - Jack Birle for The Washington Examiner, 907 Honest, Kelly

Alaska is one of a few states that has ranked choice voting as part of its elections, but a ballot measure in November could change that. In 2020, voters narrowly passed Ballot Measure 2, which instituted a nonpartisan top-four primary and ranked-choice general election, but in 2024, a different Ballot Measure 2 would essentially repeal the 2020 Ballot Measure 2 by reverting the state back to a party primary process and normal general election...

#1 US Navy Is Facing Massive Manpower Shortage Under Biden, Harris Admin - Sarah Arnold for Townhall, Larry Elder, and Amber Smith on X
The United States Navy faces an unprecedented manpower shortage, making it challenging to operate vessels, resulting in a "force generation reset" plan. According to the U.S. Naval Institute News, the Merchant Marines organization was forced to sideline 17 support ships because it could not “properly crew and operate ships across the fleet.” Rear Admiral (Ret.) Mark Montgomery, senior director of the Center on Cyber and Technology Innovation for the Foundation for Defense of Democracy, said the Merchant Marines are essential to keeping the Navy running. However, it is desperately short of experienced people to crew the ships...

Shroud of Turin Really Is 2,000 Years Old, New Study Suggests - Daniel Miller for Live Now Fox, Jack Paso, Barstool Sports, and Doug Mastriano on X

Researchers in Italy announced a new discovery regarding a linen cloth some believe was a burial shroud for Jesus Christ. The team examined a sample from the Shroud of Turin and determined that it could be 2,000 years old, Newsweek reported, citing a study published in the journal Heritage. Scientists inspected this ancient cloth using a method known as Wide-Angle X-ray Scattering. The group used this technique on a tiny sample from the Shroud, which is in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Turin, Italy...
