#10 Snopes Finally Corrects The Record On Notorious Trump Hoax — Seven Years Later - Julianna Frieman for The Daily Caller, and Blonde Patriot and Byron York on X

Snopes, a fact-checking website, issued a correction for the infamous “very fine people” line Trump used, as well as had used against him — seven years later. Trump delivered remarks at an Aug. 15, 2017, news conference following violent protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, over the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee the weekend prior. For years, Democrats latched onto a claim Trump called neo-Nazis and white supremacists “very fine people” by taking Trump’s comments out of context. Snopes set the record straight ahead of Thursday’s 2024 presidential debate, acknowledging the presumptive 2024 Republican nominee said neo-Nazis and white supremacists should be “condemned totally.”

#9 Report: DHS Group Called Being ‘Religious’ An ‘Indicator’ Of Domestic Terrorism - Brianna Lyman for The Federalist, and CNS News, and America First Legal on X

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) brainstormed about infiltrating local communities to spy on Americans and suggested being “religious” or “in the military” was an “indicator of extremists and terrorism,” excerpts of documents obtained by America First Legal (AFL) purportedly show. These excerpts, released Thursday by AFL, purport to show how in 2023, the DHS’s newly created “Homeland Intelligence Experts Group” looked for ways to expand their spying on American citizens, including by trying to “get into local communities in a non-threatening way” to get fellow Americans to tattle tale on their neighbors...

#8 Kennedy Supporters Protest Outside CNN Office In Burbank After He Is Excluded From Debate - Tyler Durden ZeroHedge, and Holden Culotta, I'm a Kennedy Independent and HustleGram on X

Dozens of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. supporters protested outside CNN’s Western U.S. bureau in Burbank, California, on June 21 after the news network announced that the independent candidate failed to meet the entry criteria for the upcoming presidential debate. “Let Bobby speak!” the group chanted outside the main office of Warner Bros. Discovery, the company that owns CNN.  CNN announced Thursday that Mr. Kennedy fell short of benchmarks for state ballot qualification and necessary polling. The news network set criteria to include candidates only if they secured enough spots on state ballots to be eligible for at least 270 Electoral College votes, the minimum needed to win the presidency. Candidates also needed to get at least 15 percent of voters in four separate national polls of registered or likely voters to meet CNN’s standards. The decision means presumptive nominees Republican former President Donald Trump and Democrat President Joe Biden will duel on the debate stage on June 27 in Atlanta...

#7 Widely Used and Deemed Safe, These Food Additives Are More Harmful Than Thought - Flora Zhao for Epoch Health, and Bob Grayishwhite, and DNP MeMe on X

On her first day after moving from Australia to the United States, Elizabeth Dunford walked into a supermarket to buy bread. As a researcher of food additives, she instinctively glanced at the ingredients label. “Why are there so many additives?” she exclaimed in surprise. Nearly every loaf she picked up contained ingredients that made her uneasy. After lingering by the shelves, she reluctantly chose a bag. “At that moment, I thought: It looks like I will have to choose the best from the worst when shopping in the future,” Ms. Dunford, project consultant for The George Institute for Global Health and adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition at the University of North Carolina, told The Epoch Times...

Russia said on Sunday that the United States was responsible for a Ukrainian attack on the Russian-annexed Crimean peninsula with five U.S.-supplied missiles that killed four people, including two children, and injured 151 more.
The Russian Defence Ministry said four of the U.S.-delivered Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles, equipped with cluster warheads, were shot down by air defence systems and the ammunition of a fifth had detonated in mid-air. Footage on Russian state television showed people running from a beach and some people being carried off on sun loungers. Russian-installed authorities in Crimea said missile fragments had fallen just after noon near a beach on the north side of the city of Sevastopol, where locals were on holiday. The incident generated a furious reaction among Russian public figures...

Scottie Scheffler and Tom Kim approached the green on the 72nd hole of the 2024 Travelers Championship with the same goal: winning the final signature event of the PGA Tour season. Seconds later, their focus changed to avoid a handful of protesters who charged the green with smoke bombs. = Police and security on the scene quickly contained the situation, tackling the protesters and removing them from the field of play as fans chanted "U-S-A" and "ass-hole." Still, white and red powder remained on the green as Scheffler, Kim and Akshay Bhatia looked to complete their fourth rounds with rules officials deeming that play would continue despite the interruption and change to the surface...

Police said 34 new Tesla Cybertrucks were damaged. The owner parked the exotic cars in a parking lot in Fort Lauderdale. In an apparent vendetta against Elon Musk, a vandal, or vandals, spray-painted an expletive and his name — “F--- Elon” — on the ostentatious electric trucks starting at over $80,000 each. “It was just one row, and then it was a second row, and then a third row and a fourth row,” Adam Docktor, who works nearby, said.  Tesla leases the parking lot to store the new vehicles. “I thought Elon Musk put them on sale,” Hoss Alavi, who works nearby, said. “I was trying to buy one.” The lot is “in the back of projects where no security, no gates, nothing,” TikToker AJ Cook said. Yasser Rabello noticed the spray-painted vehicles just after 4 a.m. Friday, I recorded a video and posted it online. “Vandalism is not acceptable,” Rabello said. “It is illegal.” By Friday afternoon, the graffiti had been wiped off...

#1 CDK Global Cyberattack Leaves Thousands of Car Dealers Spinning Their Wheels - Megan Cerullo for CBS News, and Neal P and Bloomberg TV on X

Car dealers across the U.S. are floundering after cyberattacks this week on CDK Global, a maker of software used to operate their businesses, made it all but impossible to sell vehicles.  Tom Maioli, who owns Celebrity Motor Car Company, which operates five luxury car dealerships across New York and New Jersey, told CBS MoneyWatch his business is "completely shut down." "We cannot process paperwork. Everything is frozen, everything is tied up — we cannot move money back and forth to pay off cars, to finance our customers' transactions," he said.  Such disruptions are particularly damaging to sales-driven businesses like auto dealerships, where car shoppers who are primed to lay down their cash on a vehicle may walk away when faced with frustrating delays. Maioli said that while he's trying to keep customers engaged, he has no sense of when his sales systems will be fully functional again, leaving the business in limbo...
