#10 Bird Flu Infects Seventh Iowa Dairy Farm, State Agency Says - Donnelle Eller for the Des Moines Register and Farm Policy, and Low Bandwith AI on X

Another dairy herd infected with highly pathogenic avian influenza has been reported in Sioux County, making it the fifth such outbreak in the northwest Iowa county. The Iowa Department of Agriculture said Monday that bird flu, known as H5N1, was reported in a Sioux County herd with 10,000 cows. It's the seventh outbreak in a dairy herd in Iowa since the first case was reported earlier in June. The virus is deadly to chickens, turkeys, and other poultry, and flocks where it is detected are destroyed to contain the virus. So far, however, the effects on dairy cows have been limited to symptoms like reduced appetite and milk production, and they are able to recover with supportive care. Here's what to know about the H5N1, which has plagued Iowa and the nation's poultry industry since 2022 and began showing up in dairy herds in March...

#7 Biden’s Phony Numbers Mask True Economic Pain - S.T. Karnick for Blaze Media, and Bill S on X

The official government numbers on the U.S. economy have been contradictory and confusing for quite a while now. What is clear upon closer examination is that federal government overspending and overregulation are doing serious damage to the economy, and we have yet to see the worst results of those policies. The latest government reports show the number of jobs and average hourly employee earnings both increased more than expected in May, though unemployment rose slightly. Consumer price inflation slowed by a tenth of a percentage point after three months of increases. The employment increase seems to contradict recent signs that the economy has been weakening. In addition to the conflicting rise in unemployment, other signs of deterioration include stagnant retail sales, a slowing of consumer spending, weak industrial production and manufacturing orders, increasing consumer debt, depressed new housing starts, falling annual earnings of full-time employees, and rising commodity prices...

#6 We Had Another Creepy Incident Where FBI Agents Accosted Law-Abiding Americans Again - Matt Vespa for Townhall, and Family Vision Media on X
We have another incident of FBI agents creeping on law-abiding Americans. The reason for these visits is political. The agency is targeting people who are upsetting the liberal apple cart; whether it’s posting anti-Biden memes or sounding off on alleged Medicaid fraud concerning transgender surgeries, the Feds will bear down on your home to harass you. The latest incident involves a Texas nurse who noticed potentially illegal felonious activity pertaining to transgender health care. There’s already been a whistleblower, surgeon Eithan Haim, who exposed the child mutilation surgeries happening at Texas Children’s Hospital. Now, the FBI reportedly threatened this nurse over the whistleblower case...

Voters from both parties have chosen their candidates for the seats representing Virginia’s 7th and 10th Congressional Districts, two seats that will be open for the first time in six years after Reps. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) and Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) announced their retirement from Congress. Eugene Vindman won the Democratic primary to replace Spanberger in Virginia’s 7th District after the Associated Press called the race in his favor at 8:06 p.m...

#4 Streisand Effect: Babs Unwittingly Amplifies Negative Biden Stories - Paul Bois for Breitbart, and Crispus Attuks Esq, and Barbara Streisand on X

The Barbra Streisand effect received another wind of life this week when none other than The Babs herself mistakenly amplified negative stories about Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities. As Breitbart News reported this week, the White House has reportedly grown weary of videos that appear to show President Joe Biden experiencing a cognitive decline and right-leaning media reporting on them. Of the outlets reporting on these videos, the New York Post stands out as chief among them. Rather than perhaps not using her social media platform to draw attention to these stories, Streisand chose to amplify them under the false impression of doing the president a favor. “The NY Post is printing lies about President Biden. No other media outlets should amplify its disinformation,” she declared on X to her 817,000 followers...

#3 Save Our Children: Medical Professionals Condemn Flawed Gender-Affirming Care - Tracy Beanz and Michelle Edwards for The HighWire, and Alex Ashman on X
As the war against our children intensifies, the number of children dealing with gender dysphoria is off the charts. What is gender dysphoria?  Dr. Jill Simons, executive director of the American College of Pediatricians, remarked this is a “catch-all” phrase that refers to a person who is uncomfortable with their biological sex. Undoubtedly, social media massively contributes to the problem, but the underlying issue for those suffering from gender dysphoria is mental health. Specifically, this can include anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, abuse, or they may even suffer from autism. In short, these children seek answers as to why they feel the way they do and long for a group they can fit into. More often than not, this leads them on a dangerous and redundant road of puberty blockers and other insane treatments that will ultimately leave them more depressed and confused. And on top of that, they will often be rendered infertile...

#2 Democrat Fixer Marc Elias’ Firm Steps In To Stop ‘Disastrous Election System’ Fix - M. D. Kittle for the Federalist, and Amuse on X

Bogus Russian dossier peddler and Democrat Party problem fixer Marc Elias has again injected himself into a key election integrity case to “defend the broken status quo.” Swing-state Nevada’s dirty voter rolls include hundreds of suspect addresses, at bars, strip clubs, empty parking lots, and other commercial addresses, according to an investigation by the Public Interest Legal Foundation. Doing so is clearly against the law. “In Nevada, by the state law, you are required to be registered where you actually live, where you sleep. Not where you work, not at a P.O. Box. So we’re trying to get elections officials to enforce the law,” Lauren Bis, PILF’s director of communication and engagement, says in a video tracking bad addresses in the Las Vegas area...

#1 Cliffhanger Congressional Contest Between Bob Good and John McGuire Tests Power of Trump Endorsement - Matthew Barakat and Ben Finley for AP News, and JMM, Jules, and Daniel Horowitz on X
One of America’s most conservative congressmen was locked in a tight renomination battle against an opponent endorsed by former President Donald Trump in Virginia’s primary election Tuesday.

Rep. Bob Good, who chairs the hard-right House Freedom Caucus, is seeking a third term representing Virginia’s 5th Congressional District, but state Sen. John McGuire has mounted a strong challenge that highlights frictions in the party. Ballots remained to be counted, and the close margin made the race too early to call. Virginia observes the Juneteenth holiday and isn’t expected to count votes Wednesday as a result. McGuire led Good by 327 votes, or 0.52 percentage points, out of 62,495 ballots counted as of 12 a.m. Wednesday...

‘Strawberry Moon’ to Follow Earliest Summer Solstice in 228 Years - Brian Lada for AccuWeather and Claudia Majestic Realm 123, Stonehenge UK, Fox Baltimore and Bren on X
