#10 DC to celebrate Insurrection Day - Don Surber Commentary

The deep state, Democrats, and RINOs continue to promote the lie. Attention, readers. You have only two more shopping days left until January 6, that day when Democrats and RINOs celebrate what they see as the end of Trumpism. It’s not an official holiday, but it might as well be, joining St. George Floyd Day on May 25, which marks the day when a junkie and petty drug dealer died in police custody of an overdose. The new holidays replace Mother’s Day, which is transphobic as it ignores men who give birth, and Memorial Day, which is racist because most of the people who died fighting for our country were white males.

#9 Another House Republican Plans Early Exit from Congress - Andrew Solender for Axios

On the heels of former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's departure from Congress, Rep. Bill Johnson (R-Ohio) is planning an earlier-than-expected departure this month to become president of Youngstown State University. Why it matters: Johnson's resignation will leave House Republicans down yet another vote as they try to pass key spending bills with a razor-thin majority. Republicans will be down to just 219 seats to Democrats' 213 once Johnson leaves.

#7 Biden Floods Small Wisconsin Town with 1,000 Migrants - Neil Munro for Breitbart

President Joe Biden’s migration has flooded almost 1,000 poor Latino migrants into the poor college town of Whitewater, Wisconsin, according to a plea by the city’s police department.

“Their arrival has put great strains on our existing resources, ” says the letter to Biden by the city manager and police chief of the 15,000-person city. Biden is eager to fund cosmetic fixes to civic damage in Wisconsin, partly because the funding will help him in the 2024 election and also help import even more migrants. In October, he asked Congress for $14 billion to accelerate his migration plan.

#6 Bill Ackman Says DEI Is Racist - Kwan Wei Kevin Tan for Business Insider

Bill Ackman says there's "a lot more work to do" even though Claudine Gay is no longer Harvard's president — and he has a new target. The fund manager posted a more than 4000-word essay to X (Twitter) early on Wednesday morning, outlining his various critiques of Harvard's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies. Ackman said in his essay that he believes DEI is "the root cause of antisemitism at Harvard." "DEI is racist because reverse racism is racism, even if it is against white people (and it is remarkable that I even need to point this out)," Ackman wrote.

Several state buildings across the U.S. are on alert Wednesday following a series of bomb threats made to buildings across the country. The UK’s Metropolitan Police is investigating the alleged gang rape of a teenage girl’s online avatar in the Metaverse during a virtual reality (VR) video game, the Daily Mail reported Monday. Officers alleged that while the girl, a minor under the age of 16, did not feel any physical pain, she felt psychologically injured by the experience similar to that of a corporeal rape due to the immersive nature of virtual reality, the Daily Mail reported. The victim allegedly was in an online “room” with numerous other online avatars in the Metaverse when several adult male avatars violated her, according to the outlet.

#3 The A-list Stars, Politicians, and Leading Figures Named in the Jeffrey Epstein FilesBy Mark Duell and Martin Robinson for The Daily Mail

High-profile people such as Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Al Gore, Kevin Spacey, and Stephen Hawking were all included in evidence filings. Actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Campbell, Cameron Diaz, and Bruce Willis are in there. None of them have been accused of any involvement in Epstein's crimes, but Epstein was a name-dropper, Johanna Sjoberg claimed in evidence released overnight. Ms Sjoberg was clear that she had never met them. Also mentioned are the late physicist Stephen Hawking and magician David Copperfield. The identities of more than 170 people are now set to be made public following a US judge's order last month, with the first tranche of documents released last night. They are set to be released on a rolling basis this week. However, the inclusion of a name does not necessarily mean they were accused of any wrongdoing, with some names simply put to witnesses who denied meeting them.

#2 Video Shows Felon Leaping Over Bench to Attack Nevada Judge During Sentencing - Patrick Smith for NBC News

Court cameras caught the extraordinary moments Wednesday when a felon who was about to be sentenced for a violent crime leaped over the bench and assaulted a judge in Las Vegas. Deobra Redden, 30, was in Clark County District Court to be sentenced on an attempted battery charge when he jumped toward Judge Mary Kay Holthus and pushed her against the wall before a brawl between him and court officials that left one receiving treatment at a local hospital. The violent outburst means Redden will be back in court Thursday to face multiple new felony charges of battery and battery against a protected person, meaning the judge and court staff.

#1 Ford is Recalling More Than 112,000 F-150 Trucks That Could Roll Away While Parked - Joe Hernandez for NPR

Ford is recalling certain F-150 pickup trucks with a part that could break and cause the vehicles to roll away when parked. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the truck's rear axle hub bolt could break and cause the axle hub splines to become damaged. "Damaged axle hub splines can result in a vehicle roll away when the vehicle is in park without the parking brake applied, or cause a loss of drive power," NHTSA official Alex Ansley wrote in a letter to Ford. "Both of these conditions can increase the risk of a crash." The recall affects more than 112,000 trucks in the model years 2021-2023 that have the Trailer Tow Max Duty package and a 9.75-inch heavy-duty axle with a 3/4 float axle design.
