If a government agency becomes so corrupt and politicized that policy changes will not correct the problem, then our elected leaders have a duty to act. Now is the time for President Trump to fire FBI Director Christopher Wray. The situation is past the point of rescue. More Americans are losing faith in the FBI with each passing week under Wray’s leadership. That's bad for the stability of our institution.
Wray was nominated to the position in 2017 after President Trump fired D.C. swamp rat, James Comey. A source previously indicated Trump never had faith in Wray to make the appropriate changes to the FBI and eliminate corruption at the highest levels. That instinct has proven to be true.
Bombshell-report-on-Burisma-and-Hunter-Biden-points-to-impeachment-being-a-coverup-ploy
Director Wray has failed the FBI and his country by going AWOL on the illegal spying of the Trump campaign, refusing to investigate Hunter Biden, the continued persecution of Michael Flynn, and looking the other way in the midst of a violent, anarchist uprising. The improper spying perpetrated on President Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign by political opponents – dubbed Spygate - is the biggest political scandal in American history.
Requests to spy on former Trump advisor Carter Page were often based on assumptions contradicted by information FBI agents had in their possession. They cherry-picked the evidence they provided to the court so they could obtain F.I.S.A. (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) warrants. Using the thinnest of suspicions, FBI agents acted in bad faith by manipulating the legal system to serve a political agenda. You might expect this to happen if you live in a third world country – but not in America. Welcome to the new normal created by a corrupt government agency.
While Trump-Russia collusion was a hoax, it was successfully pushed by media outlets who carry water for the Democrat Party. There were voters who were genuinely manipulated into believing Trump was installed as our president by Russia to undermine our democracy. It was critical that Wray’s FBI respond by holding everyone involved (including officials in the Obama Administration) accountable so this could never happen again. Unfortunately, it seems like he would rather you forget about it. Not only has Wray’s FBI failed to make proper arrests, he told Congress in April of this year he would not use the term “spying” to describe the surveillance on the Trump campaign. As years have passed by and we move into the next election cycle, there is zero confidence this situation will change under Wray’s leadership.
In February of this year, Director Wray was asked directly by Congress if he was investigating Hunter Biden, son of former Vice President and 2020 Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden. This stemmed from a GOP Senate report about allegations of corruption. Instead of answering the question, Wray skirted around it, saying he would “only open investigations based on the facts of the law and proper predication.” Fast forward seven months later, and a bombshell, 87-page report was released on Wednesday by the Senate Committee on Homeland Security, and Governmental Affairs, and the Committee on Finance. Somehow, we aren’t any closer to serious action or an investigation by the FBI into Hunter Biden.
In 2015, the former Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, expressed concerns to officials in then-Vice President Joe Biden’s office about a potential conflict of interest regarding his son Hunter’s role on the board of Burisma – where he was alleged to be consulting on matters of governance and transparency.
Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky with Hunter Biden
While Hunter served on Burisma’s board, Mykola Zlochevsky (Ukrainian oligarch who owns Burisma) allegedly paid a $7 million bribe to officials under Ukraine’s prosecutor general to shut down the case against him. George Kent (a deputy assistant secretary to the State Department at the time) testified that he reported this to the FBI.
Hunter Biden and Russian businesswoman and founder of BE OPEN, Elena Baturina.
In 2014, Hunter ramped up his lobbying efforts to U.S. officials, even taking trips to foreign countries while under a Secret Service protective detail. Hunter and his family received millions of dollars from foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds. He received $3.5 million via wire transfer from Elena Baturina, the wife of a former Moscow mayor. He had business ties to Chinese nationals connected to the Chinese Communist Government and People’s Liberation Army, which resulted in the exchange of millions of dollars. He also paid non-resident women who were nationals of Russia or other Eastern European countries who appear to be linked to a human trafficking ring.
In a letter to Director Wray, Rep. Jim Jordan asked what investigative steps the FBI had taken on this information, if any. According to Rep. Jordan, the FBI has been aware of alleged misconduct for years regarding the widespread concern within the Obama-Biden Administration about Hunter’s role on the board of Burisma. The optics indicate this is another problem Wray probably hopes will go away. If government corruption is not seriously addressed, how can we reasonably expect it won’t continue?
Newly disclosed internal FBI notes and text messages revealed from a federal court filing by Gen. Michael Flynn’s attorney detail just how far the FBI was willing to go to take down Trump and his associates. In January of 2017, one FBI agent texted that they all purchased professional liability insurance – it was the same day CNN leaked details that then-President-elect Trump was briefed by then-FBI Director James Comey about the bogus dossier in an attempt to legitimize it.
Multiple text messages show that the order to close the criminal investigation against Flynn came as early as the day of the 2016 presidential election. It was later re-opened in early January of 2017, and one text message reveals an FBI agent describing the need to tie up loose ends regarding “Crossfire Razor,” the agency’s name for the investigation of Flynn. The targeted persecution of Flynn was alarming for anyone who believes in the criminal justice system. Director Wray had the exculpatory information at the FBI and it wasn't released until a special prosecutor was assigned by Attorney General William Barr.
For months across Democrat-led cities in America, we have seen an organized, violent uprising by Marxists and anarchists affiliated with Black Lives Matter and Antifa. They have planned numerous riots in areas with police shootings of black people, committing violence against people and property.
On Wednesday night, a verdict was handed down on the tragic police shooting of Breonna Taylor by Louisville Metro Police Officers. Residents were warned well in advance to prepare for a violent riot. The entire situation was pre-planned down to a parked U-Haul truck which was used to store shields, weapons, premade signs, and supplies. This was all planned out before the verdict in the case was rendered, which lets you know how important that part of the equation truly was to the people involved.
Wray’s FBI had ample time to attempt to infiltrate this operation and intervene – instead, two police officers were shot, and others were attacked. Wray testified just last week that Antifa is an ideology, not an organization. I suppose he overlooked the preparation, financing, uniforms, logos, slogans, and flags. Instead of protecting the American people, Director Wray has chosen to uphold corruption, just as the director before him.
Wray must be fired if we are ever going to move towards restoring faith in the FBI and our criminal justice system.
